I loved the various tips & concepts related to plants, which you shared as well. Didn't know there is a plant species used for contraception!

Amazing & memorable holiday in Kota Kinabalu

Anthony from Amazing Borneo customized my group’s 9-day 8-night tour to Kota Kinabalu and Kundasang. Itineraries for each day were well planned & scheduled with detailed information on what to wear/bring for each trip. For 4 days, we had the opportunity to travel via one of their Vellfire – very comfortable especially for long-distance travel to Kudasang and Kudat.

There was very clear and advanced (2 days ahead of schedule) communication between Amazing Borneo and our group.

The tour guide cum driver assigned to us was Joel, a knowledgeable, informative, responsible, patient and caring guide who often went the extra mile to ensure our comfort, safety and enjoyment.

Here are some highlights of our trip:

“TOP OF THE WORLD” SUNRISE LEISURE HIKE: A rugged hiking trail with rocky terrain with concrete steps that leads to the peak at 278m above sea level. The age range of my group of ladies is 64 to 75 years old. We made it to the top at 6:15 am after trekking for almost 1 hour. Viewing the sunset was worth what felt like a climb with a million steps. As advised by the guide, the use of hiking poles definitely enabled us to have smoother ascend and descend.

Poring Canopy Walk offers opportunities to view the majestic trees. My group was fortunate to catch glimpses of Bornean White-Breaded Gibbon and Bornean Pygmy Squirrel.

The highlight of our tour was the unexpected opportunity to view two Rafflesia in bloom!

Overall, my group of five was very pleased with how Amazing Borneo made our visit to Kota Kinabalu an amazing and memorable holiday. We are now considering Amazing Borneo for our next tour to Sandakan.
