Fab Diving with Amazing Borneo

We had a fantastic day doing a PADI dive and introductory dive course arranged by Amazing Borneo at ShangriLa Rasa Ria, through Joey and her team. They were excellent. It was well organised, the details all good and the day ran very smoothly.

The diving was with Go Acquatic in KK, who were brilliant, very professional and made everyone feel safe and welcome. We couldn’t have asked for anything more for this day and it was made even better by a wonderful driver, Vincent who was part of the Borneo Adventures team who punctually picked us up and dropped us off, giving some decent commentary and recommendations about KK on the way.

Fantastic Short Tour, would love to come back

We have just had a wonderful time with our 3 sons on a short 2D guided tour as part of a week in Borneo. Our guide William was fantastic - very intuitive and thoughtful.

The organisation was perfect. He had an exceptional knowledge to share with us in an interesting way, also showing so much patience with my youngest son and his many questions! Thank you

Super Efficient Sales /Tour Customisation and Great Properties/Guides along the way

We booked a 2 week custom tour of Borneo with Amazing Borneo Tours and it did not disappoint! We visited Sandakan, Selingan (Turtle) Island, Kinabatangan River, Lahad Datu and Dannum Valley and then on to Mabul/Sipidan Islands.

I wanted to plan a custom family tour and I made enquiries with 2 operators. Anthony at Amazing Borneo Tours was so responsive and created the perfect itinerary for us, based on my specific wish list. This was why we booked with Amazing Borneo Tours.

The 2 guides assigned to us for different parts of the journey (Richard and Shirley) were very friendly and organised everything well. Shirley was our wildlife guide and she was able to spot animals for us and tell us about them. We saw a huge variety of wildlife, but the highlight for us was the Bornean elephants.

Amazing Experience

My family and I went on a Kuching tour with Amazing Borneo and we were impressed by the guide Mustapha and Anthony Wong the salesperson. Anthony was very professional and responsive to my queries and Mustapha was experienced and warm hearted guide and driver. He was knowledgeable and knew all aspects of the places of interest and was a great wildlife spotter too.

Unforgettable day in Borneo Sandakan

A Truly Unforgettable Day in Borneo 🌿🦧

Today we experienced a private tour to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, and the Sandakan War Memorial — and what an incredible day it was!

From watching orangutans roam freely in their natural habitat to observing the quirky and charismatic proboscis monkeys at Labuk Bay, every moment felt magical. Our guide, Shirley, was absolutely superb — knowledgeable, passionate, and attentive, she made the whole experience even more special.

Lunch under a mango tree was a lovely touch, followed by a peaceful and moving walk around the War Memorial. It was a day full of nature, history, and unforgettable encounters — truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Our First Major Hike: Mount Kinabalu

Took me a while go write this review but worth leaving one in every bit. From start to end the the process with Amazing Borneo was awesome.

We booked a 2D1N Mount Kinabalu Hike Trail with our one of the agents Joey, who was amazing. She helped with every question we asked, awesome and easy to reach. Their platform was amazing, easy for me to know when and what do i have to submit. We booked the package in January and our hike was on 5-6 May.

Our group consists of me, my cousin, and little cousin (2 adults & 1 kid - all international) who was 11. We were picked up from our hotel at 6:30a.m and was taken to the registration point. Considering we were going with 1 kid, we were a bit cautious but felt super comfortable when we met our tour guide, Rose who i have to say is a rockstar! She understood that we had a young one and she took care of her as if she was her own daughter. The hike itself was simply amazing.

Day 2 took a toll on our body and we had little hope on going to the peak. At one point we had to keep my little cousin with Rose and continued to the top but with all the help they both manage to go to the top as well. Coming down, however we decided to send my little cousin on the back of one of the guide (human taxi) as she was a bit trembling and Rose advised us she may get injured. With the help of alll the amazing guide around the hike they both safely went down. As per me and my cousin (the two adults) we accompanied by Alvin (a young porter) who was super sweet and help us through the process.

Overall i have to give 5/5 star to amazing borneo tour as well as all the guide who works at kota kinabalu site and even the base camp cause it was spot on amazing.

Trip with Memorable Memories

With Joey's guidance, I was able to visit all the destinations on my bucket list, including Desa Farm, North Borneo Cruise, and Mari Mari Cultural Village. Her assistance not only helped me plan the perfect itinerary but also made the booking process smooth and stress-free. Each location offered a unique experience from the scenic views at Desa Farm, to the relaxing sunset on the North Borneo Cruise, and the rich cultural immersion at Mari Mari Cultural Village. 5D4N Kundasang and Mount Kinabalu Climb (Private Tour)

My husband and I booked the 5D4N Kundasang Highlights with Mount Kinabalu Climb (Private Tour) with Amazing Borneo, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. We booked 5 months in advance to secure our climb slot, and from start to finish, the team exceeded all expectations.

Lewis was incredibly helpful with our planning, patiently answering our questions and preparing us well. Mr Joel, our land guide, was informative and took great care of us — from the scenic stops at Nabalu, Poring Canopy Walk, Kipungit Waterfall, and Desa Farm to ensuring we were ready for the climb.

The highlight was, of course, the Mount Kinabalu climb. Our mountain guide Mr Danson was amazing — he motivated us when the climb got tough and made sure we reached the summit safely. The sunrise, clear skies, and starry early morning climb were unforgettable. We stayed at Kinabalu Pine Resort and Laban Rata Lodge, both of which were comfortable and beautiful. After the climb, we could finally rest our “jelly legs” and reflect on the incredible journey.

This trip was challenging, emotional, and deeply rewarding. We’re already planning a return — this time with our kids — and will definitely go with Amazing Borneo again. Thank you for the memories!

We are on the Highest Peak in SouthEast Asia

Highly recommend, Amazing Borneo, amazing service. Twice I went to Mt. Kinabalu '23 & '25 follows their 3D2N Mount Kinabalu Climb package. Special mention, Ms Sarah, very supportive solved all my problems, giving me lots of useful information. The transportation and picked up are always on time not delayed, the Captain of the bus Mr Yung was funny and friendly. The accommodations were the BEST, we stayed at Hill Lodge in Kinabalu Park HQ, the rooms are so cosy and very convenient with walking distance 3mins to reach our dinner place Liwagu Restaurant.

Choose the right season and we have incredible weather during hiking, reaching the summit - Low's Peak we have breathtaking views, looking around all the other peaks are all lower than us, it's an unbelievable feeling. 15 pax group, all reached summit, what an achievement. Will I come back again? Maybe, but if I come, I'll choose Amazing Borneo again.
