I'd highly recommend Amazing Borneo Tours

If you're looking to see Mt Kinabalu and explore the surrounding national park, I'd highly recommend Amazing Borneo Tours.

For context, we did the Kinabalu Park (Silau-Silau Trail, Botanical Garden, Kinabalu Park Gallery) day trip at the end of April 2026 with Freddie. The sites we saw were incredible—particularly the views of Mt Kinabalu and the beautiful fauna inside the park.

Freddie's park tours were interesting, informative, and engaging, and he was a pleasure to spend the day with. The included lunch was top-notch and, without a doubt, the best buffet lunch we've had as part of a tour during our wider Southeast Asia travels.

Overall, we had a great day with Freddie and Amazing Borneo Tours and would highly recommend them both to anyone looking to visit Kinabalu National Park!

Amazing Borneo start with Amazing Borneo Tour

I had a fantastic experience with Amazing Borneo for my Mount Kinabalu trip. Everything was very well arranged from start to finish, making the whole journey smooth and stress-free.

A special mention to our mountain guide, who was incredibly helpful, patient, and encouraging throughout the climb. The hike was definitely challenging, but having an experienced and supportive guide made a huge difference. We felt well taken care of throughout the journey. 

Thank you to the Amazing Borneo team especially our sales representative, Joey Yong for making my Mount Kinabalu adventure such a memorable one. 

The overall coordination, accommodation, transportation, and climbing arrangements were handled professionally, allowing us to simply focus on enjoying the experience and reaching the summit.

Amazing Borneo and Klias experience

Really great experience with Amazing Borneo! From the airport pick up all the way to departing the fabulous country, service was tip-top!! 

Emily and Freddy did an amazing job making us feel welcomed! Their knowledge and experience is really above standard!

The Klias experience was really eye opening and enjoyable! Seeing the animals in their original state and how nature should be, makes the whole trip even more enjoyable!

Amazing Borneo is a reliable organization

We had a tour today led by Clement. Amazing Borneo is a reliable organization. I was kept informed about pick-up times and other information. I want to compliment Clement. He knew everything about the area and about the plants and animals. A very good host! I can definitely recommend him. Thanks again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Amazing Borneo Tours and can wholeheartedly recommend them

We, a couple from Germany, took a tour of Malaysia—including Kuala Lumpur and Borneo—from July 24 to August 6, 2026. On July 26, Joell and Vincent from Amazing Borneo Tours met us at the Kota Kinabalu airport and accompanied us until August 3, 2026. From KK, we drove to the Sabah Tea Resort Cottage and stayed overnight in a longhouse. We then traveled to Sepilok, from where we visited Sandakan and the Orang Utan and Sun Bear Centers. Joell was a very knowledgeable guide throughout; everything was perfectly organized, and we felt right at home. He also regularly offered suggestions on how we could further enrich our trip, such as by visiting the Rainforest Discovery Center. The boat tours and the night safari at the Bilit Adventure Lodge on the Kinabatangan River were a special highlight. With a bit of luck, we even got to see a pygmy elephant and a mother Orang-Utan with her baby. Joell’s ornithological expertise, in particular, impressed us time and again. Whether it was a sighting or a birdcall, he could always tell us the name of the bird in question. The trip to the Tabin Wildlife Resort was relatively time-consuming for just one overnight stay. We would have liked to stay there a second night. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Amazing Borneo Tours and can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and on time

We traveled accross Borneo using Amazing Borneo to get us to the different resorts with a mix of drivers and driver/guides. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and on time. They knew who to expect, our names and where and what we had planned. They were all excellent throughout and one of the guides (william) even stayed at one of the stops over night to be able to carry on the next day. When my wife became unwell he escorted us to a pharmacy to get medication, I can thoroughly recommend them if you are planning on being any of Borneo.

Amazing Borneo tour guide, delivered seamless and attentive service

Clement, our Amazing Borneo tour guide, delivered seamless and attentive service during our visits to Mari Mari Culture Village, Nabalu Market, Desa Farm, Sabah Tea Garden, Kinabalu Park’s Silau Silau trail, and the Botanic Garden. His professionalism and dedication made the experience smooth and enjoyable.

As feedback, the Desa Farm itinerary felt rather tight with less than 30 minutes to explore. Additionally, subsequent two‑day stay at Hilton Garden Inn, while offering comfort, tranquility with stunning 🌅, seemed a tad too long. A shorter stay or more planned activities could enrich the overall Borneo experience.

The team from Amazing Borneo met all my expectations and more. From the time I started, Anthony Wong patiently explained and walked me through all my options. In the end the package that he showed me was top notch in service and standard way beyond my expectation.

And during the climb I had an injury, I did not expect it but on my return I received a personal call from Anthony assuring me that his team will take care of my medical transportation needs tmr. And his team indeed picked me from doorstep and helped me all the way.

I was beyond grateful. Every agent may be able to give you an itinerary. But not every agent can give you the care and support that you will need to make the summit challenge a wonderful experience. A big shout out to Julie from Kinabalu Park HQ and my guide Almi Joan. SUPERB people to the max !!!
