This 4 Days 3 Nights Miri Highlights tour will bring an exciting mix of city adventure and natural wonders. You will be exploring Miri and the neighbouring Brunei, where you will learn more in-depth about the local histories and what makes both cities a must-visit whenever you are in Borneo. Here, you will immerse yourself in the unique culture, try out the yummy delicacies, and see marvellous architecture feats.  

Over at Niah National Park, you will surround yourself with lush nature and astonishing geological formations not seen anywhere else. Learn about Trader's Cave's rich history, be amazed at the enormous size of the Great Cave, and if you are lucky, you will witness how the local bird's nest collectors do their job using traditional method. 

In Miri, you will be taken on a guided tour to some of the city's most well-known sites, such as Canada Hill, from where you can enjoy an incredible panoramic view of the entire city. Not too far from there, you will also get to visit the Grand Old Lady (Miri's first drilled oil well) and the Miri Petroleum Museum, where you will learn about the city and oil drilling. For history buffs, Tua Pek Kong Temple is a few minutes’ drive away from Canada Hill. It is Miri's oldest temple and one of the few buildings in the city to have survived World War II bombings. 

You will get the chance to do some shopping at local stores to round up your day trip in Miri. We recommend getting the Kek Lapis Sarawak as well as other local handicrafts as souvenirs! 

In Brunei, you will be taken on a wonderful tour of its beautiful mosques, luxury abodes, and other fascinating sights that will definitely leave you speechless. Your first stop is the Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, the largest mosque in Brunei with a capacity of 5,000 worshippers. Some of the key features of the mosque is the elegantly-designed golden domes and four 60-metre-tall minarets. The next mosque you will be visiting is the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque. It is one of Brunei’s largest and oldest mosques, and it is considered as one of the most beautiful in the entire Asia Pacific. 

Afterwards, we will make our way to the Royal Regalia Museum to visit the displays commemorating the coronation and the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah's rule of Brunei. At Kampung Ayer, or also known as the "Venice of the East", you will be exploring the largest settlement on stilts in the world with over 30,000 residents. 

Next, you will be taken to the Istana Nurul Iman, which means "Palace of the Light of Faith". Being the world's largest residential palace, it has a total of 1,788 rooms, including a banquet hall that can seat up to 5,000 people and a mosque with a capacity of 1,500 worshippers. Before the tour ends, we will take you to Jerudong Park, one of largest and most expensive amusement parks in Southeast Asia.

Niah National Park will be your next destination for a fun adventure with nature. Here, you will be exploring its world-famous caves as well as get to know more about the history of its ancient settlement.  

The caves at Niah National Park are well-known for the archaeological sites where the oldest known human remains in Southeast Asia were discovered. And for nature lovers, you can see the impressive cave formations at the Traders’ Cave and the Great Cave that takes thousands of years to take shape. Also at the Great Cave is several species of swiftlets, where their precious nest will be taken by the local bird’s nest collectors and sold for a high price in the market.
