Day 1 Arrival Kuching / Kuching City Tour Gather and greet at Kuching International Airport before embarking on the tour of Kuching City. Throughout the orientation, you get to hit some must-visit historical spots and buildings such as the White Cat Statue, old shophouses, the old Court House, Post Office, Square Tower, and Tua Pek Kong Temple to get a touch of the historical background of the city. In the evening, you will set off to Kuching Waterfront and hop onto a “tambang”, which means a passenger boat in the Malay language, to the opposite side of the river for a dinner meal. It is an ideal way to see the historically significant buildings along the river that snakes across Kuching. After that, you could relax and enjoy your dinner with a panoramic view of the sunset and city at the restaurant before heading over to your hotel to check in and get a well-deserved rest. Day 2 Annah Rais Longhouse / Ethnic Lunch / Hotsprings We will pick you up at the hotel lobby after you enjoy your sumptuous breakfast. You will head to Annah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse which is 60km away from Kuching City. Along the way of the 1.5-hour drive, you could take stunning photos of the breath-taking scenery of the rainforest and the majestic sight of Padawan Mountain. There are more than 80 doors or families that live under one roof. You will gain an insight into remote Bidayuh longhouse history and get to observe their traditional and modern ways of living in a longhouse. For examples, the unique uses of bamboo and the traditional farming activities of the Bidayuh tribe. If you are lucky enough, you might get a chance to witness the natives conducting their wedding rituals. After the visit, a Sarawak’s Ethnic Lunch feast will be served by the generous host and friendly neighbourhood. Before going back to the hotel, you can kill some time in the nature by having a natural hot spa in the nearby hotsprings, rafting, jungle walking, or taking some nice photos by the nearby waterfalls.
