Upon your arrival at Sandakan Airport, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Sandakan for check-in. 

The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at your leisure before the next day’s excitement. 

After breakfast, check out of your Sandakan accommodation and transfer to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre for a tour of the site and to observe orangutan during feeding time. Here, you will have the chance to see this incredible species up close and learn about the conservation efforts being made. 

Explore the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre to learn about the world’s smallest bears and the work of the team behind this rescue and rehabilitation facility. 

Transfer to Bilit Jetty, then take a boat ride to Bilit Rainforest Lodge, an eco-lodge perched right along the edge of Lower Kinabatangan River. 

Upon arrival at Bilit Rainforest Lodge, check-in and proceed to lunch. 

Enjoy an evening river cruise along Kinabatangan River, with opportunities to spot wildlife such as Proboscis Monkeys, rare birds, and possibly Pygmy Elephants. 

After dinner, participate in a complimentary night safari cruise to observe nocturnal animals and birds. 

Choose between an early morning river cruise or a jungle trek at Kelenanap Oxbow Lake where you have the opportunity to encounter a diverse range of bird species and Bornean wildlife, including proboscis monkeys, hornbills, and pygmy elephants. 

After breakfast, the rest of the morning and early afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure. 

Embark on another river cruise in the late afternoon. Kinabatangan River, Malaysia’s second longest river, is considered a must-visit destination for wildlife encounters. 

After dinner, relax at your lodge for the night. 

After breakfast, transfer overland for 2 hours to Lahad Datu, then another 2 hours to Danum Valley Conservation Area, the largest protected area of lowland dipterocarp rainforest in Sabah (4 hours total journey). 

Check-in at the award-winning Borneo Rainforest Lodge, the pinnacle of tropical comfort and luxury amidst the 130-million-year-old rainforest of Danum Valley. 

Enjoy lunch, followed by an introductory presentation in the Conference Room. 

In the afternoon, explore the nature trails surrounding the lodge, stopping at the 300m long, 26m high Canopy Walkway for a unique perspective of the dense, ancient rainforest. 

After dinner, go on a night safari drive in an open-top vehicle to search for nocturnal animals (weather permitting). Some wildlife you may have the opportunity to encounter on your nighttime jaunts include slow lorises, tarsiers, clouded leopards, and a wide array of frogs, vipers, and insects. 

After breakfast, your day begins with a morning jungle trek to Coffin Cliff, a Kadazandusun burial site, then to View Point for a bird's eye view of the surrounding area.  

After dinner, join a night walk to spot nocturnal animals before retiring to your lodge for the night. 

In the late afternoon, you have the option to either go on another jungle trek or enjoy tubing down Danum River. 

Take a refreshing dip in the nearby Natural Jacuzzi Pool before returning to the lodge for lunch. 

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and the rest of the morning at your leisure. 

After lunch, check out and transfer to Lahad Datu Airport for your flight to Kota Kinabalu. 

Upon arrival, transfer to the Kota Kinabalu Jetty for a boat ride to Gaya Island Resort. 

Check-in, enjoy the resort amenities, and have dinner at one of the resort's restaurants. 

Enjoy a luxurious breakfast and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. 

Choose from activities like visiting the Marine Centre, guided snorkelling, and exploring nature trails (at additional cost). 

Relax at Spa Village (at additional cost) or dine at the resort. 

After lunch, check out and return to the mainland.
