Overview of Tour

Escape into the cool highlands of Kundasang on this 5D4N journey that blends scenic landscapes, cultural experiences, and relaxing nature encounters. From exploring Desa Cow Farm and Nabalu Market to visiting Kinabalu Park and Poring Hot Spring, this itinerary offers a refreshing change of pace from the city.

A highlight of this experience is an overnight stay at Sabah Tea Garden, where you’ll be surrounded by rolling tea plantations and enjoy a guided tour of the estate. Complemented by a cultural visit to Mari Mari Village, a sunset dinner cruise, and a peaceful firefly river cruise, this journey offers a well-balanced and immersive Kota Kinabalu and Kundasang getaway.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Kota Kinabalu / North Borneo Sunset Dinner Cruise

Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Take some time to rest and settle in before your evening activity.

Later, head to the marina to board the North Borneo Cruises sunset dinner cruise. Sail along the coastline while enjoying views of the South China Sea as the sun sets. A buffet dinner and light entertainment will be served onboard, offering a relaxing introduction to your Sabah journey.

Day 2

Mari Mari Cultural Village / Nabalu Market / Desa Cow Farm / Sabah Tea Garden

After breakfast, visit Mari Mari Cultural Village to gain insight into Sabah’s indigenous cultures and traditional lifestyles through interactive demonstrations.

Continue your journey towards the Kundasang highlands, stopping at Nabalu Market for local handicrafts and produce, followed by a visit to Desa Cow Farm, known for its scenic setting and fresh dairy products. Enjoy views of the surrounding highlands along the way.

Proceed to Sabah Tea Garden and check in. Surrounded by rolling tea plantations, spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the cool climate and tranquil surroundings.

Day 3

Tea Plantation Tour / Poring Hot Spring / Kinabalu Park / Seafood Dinner

Begin your day with a guided tour of the Sabah Tea plantation, where you will learn about tea cultivation and processing while enjoying the scenic landscape.

Afterwards, continue to Poring Hot Spring, where you can relax and unwind amidst the rainforest environment. Proceed to Kinabalu Park for a visit and lunch at a local restaurant, with opportunities to enjoy the park’s natural setting.

In the afternoon, return to Kota Kinabalu. A seafood dinner will be arranged before checking in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4

Free & Easy / Firefly River Cruise

Enjoy a free and easy morning at your hotel, allowing time to relax or explore at your own pace.

In the afternoon, depart for a scenic river cruise near Hilton Garden Inn. Enjoy light local refreshments before boarding your boat and cruising along a mangrove-lined river, where you may spot monkeys, macaques, and tropical birdlife.

After an early dinner, continue with an evening cruise to witness fireflies lighting up the trees along the riverbanks. Return to Hilton Garden Inn after the experience.

Departure OR Extend Tour

  • Please ensure you are holding an air ticket to Kota Kinabalu. Flights are not included in this package.
  • Travel insurance is not included and is strongly recommended.
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia has implemented a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTx). Foreign tourists are required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and are required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.
  • If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, kindly inform us in advance so that suitable arrangements can be made.
