Day 1 ARRIVAL / SARAWAK CULTURAL VILLAGE Meet and pick up at Kuching Airport. Depart to the award-winning Sarawak Cultural Village for an engaging inside experience of 7 ethnic tribes of Sarawak sprawled on a 17-acre site. Get an exclusive walk-through of their day-to-day lives and vibrant tradition and culture through engaging activities, hand-made crafts, and live performances! Day 2 FAIRY & WIND CAVES / SEMENGGOH ORANG UTAN Awake nice and early for a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, you’ll depart for a 45-minute scenic countryside drive to Bau area onwards to the Fairy and Wind Caves! As the name suggests, get whisked into the ethereal fairytale world of the Fairy Caves and marvel at stunning limestone formations of stalactites and stalagmites and beautiful montane vegetation to complete the aesthetics. Further exploration of the Fairy Caves will showcase a number of shrines and altars by Taoist Chinese with strong beliefs of their local folklore, regularly making their offerings. After the Fairy Caves, you’ll be guided over to the Wind Caves – named after the constant cool breeze circulating the cave – to continue your cave explorations in the Bau area. Notice: Wind Cave is temporary closed for renovation until further notice. Visit to Wind Cave will be replaced to Buddha Cave instead. After having fun at the caves, you will have the option to head over to Paku Rock Maze Garden which features primitive stone forest with natural limestone formation. You’ve probably worked up an appetite, so it’s time to head out for some much-needed lunch! After lunch, prepare to pay a visit to our distant cousin, the Orang Utan, at the Semenggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre where you’ll get the opportunity to observe Orang Utans as they frolic in their natural habitat and come out of the forest during feeding time from a safe distance. Day 3 KUCHING CITY TOUR Prepared to be picked up from your hotel and depart for a Kuching City Tour! You’ll be taken to must-visit locations guaranteed that will have you ticking your bucket list off. Visit the famous mascot of Kuching City at Padungan, appropriate represented by a gigantic cat statue for Kuching means Cat in Malay! After visiting the mascot of Kuching, hop onto a River Cruise and cruise your way through China Town, making a stop at the Tua Tek Kong Temple (one of the oldest temples in Sarawak), and passing by unique, traditional Malay house built on stilts. Carrying on with your river cruise journey, keep an eye out for the majestic Astana, formerly palace of the White Rajah but has now been reinstated as the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak, the old Colonial Law Courthouse, the Clock Tower, and a granite obelisk built in memory of Rajah Charles Brooke. After your river cruise, it’s time to continue your city tour to the Kuching Pink Mosque to see the wonderful architecture. After that, you will make your way to the Darul Hana Bridge for a scenic view of Kuching Waterfront. It’s time to head back to rest up with an overnight stay at your hotel.
