Day 2 Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre / Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre / Borneo Natural Sukau Bilit Resort / Kinabatangan River Cruise 07:00 Hrs: After breakfast, check out and transfer to Sandakan. Pay a visit to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, established in 1964 to rehabilitate orphaned and displaced orang utans. Here, you can observe these iconic creatures in their natural dipterocarp forest habitat. Continue your journey to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, where you'll witness adorable sun bears playing in their open-air forest enclosures. The centre provides a temporary home for sun bears as they are being prepared for life back in the wild. 12:45 Hrs: After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, embark on a 2½ hour drive to Kinabatangan River. Upon arrival at the Borneo Natural Sukau Bilit Resort, enjoy some welcome refreshments while your guide provides a safety briefing. 16:00 Hrs: Set off on a river cruise to spot proboscis monkeys, orangutans, pygmy elephants, macaques, and other fascinating wildlife.
