Guests can enjoy delicious meals prepared by our chef, blending local and Western flavours, served on covered terraces that overlook the serene lake and untouched rainforest.
The Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, where dedicated staff help young, captive, or abandoned orangutans re-adjust to life in the wild, is just a few minutes' walk away. The nearby Sepilok Forest Reserve is also easily accessible. Additionally, the lodge staff can arrange birdwatching, trekking, and river trips to explore the surrounding areas, including the wildlife-rich Sukau area along the Kinabatangan River and Turtle Island, located off the northern coast of Sandakan.
