Arrival in Tawau / Semporna / Pearl Island Resort

Touchdown at Tawau Airport! Meet your guide and transfer to Semporna by land (approx. 1.5 hours). 

Board a boat at Semporna Jetty for your transfer to Pearl Island Resort on Bohey Dulang Island (approx. 45 minutes).  

Pearl Island Resort offers an idyllic retreat for travellers seeking a private and tranquil getaway. Located on the breathtaking Bohey Dulang Island, this resort boasts charming twin-sharing accommodations designed for comfort and simplicity. Day 2

Pearl Island Resort / Guided Boat Dives / Optional Unguided Dives

After a satisfying buffet breakfast, head out on your first guided boat dive at one of the stunning dive sites near the resort. 

Located within the breathtaking Semporna Archipelago, Pearl Island Resort offers unparalleled access to some of the world’s most renowned dive sites. Situated on a pristine island surrounded by crystal-clear waters and vibrant coral reefs, the resort is a gateway to exploring Sabah’s extraordinary underwater biodiversity. From colourful reef fish and majestic sea turtles to rare macro species and flourishing coral gardens, the dive experiences here cater to both beginners and seasoned divers. 

Return to the resort in the mid-day for a well-deserved buffet lunch. 

After lunch, gear up for your second and third guided boat dives. 

Snacks and refreshments are available at the restaurant for post-dive sustenance. 

Certified divers also have the option to embark on house reef dives and night dives around the dive centre. These are unguided dives and would require you to bring along a buddy for safety.

Departure OR Extend Tour

Enjoy breakfast and a leisurely morning. Diving is not allowed on departure day to ensure compliance with the no-fly rule (24 hours post-dive). 

Check out and board a boat back to Semporna Jetty where you will be transferred back to Tawau Airport for departure. You may also wish to extend your tour for more diving opportunities in Semporna waters.

Upon arrival at Tawau Airport, meet your guide and transfer 1.5 hours to Semporna. 

Hop on a boat at Semporna Jetty for a 45-minute boat transfer to Pearl Island Resort on Bohey Dulang Island.

Pearl Island Resort / Free & Easy / Snorkelling & Exploration

After a hearty breakfast, enjoy the morning at your leisure. You may go snorkeling around the resort’s house reef or join an optional guided hike to the Bohey Dulang summit for panoramic views of the lagoon (at your own expense, subject to permit and guide availability).

After lunch, continue your adventure with island hopping or kayaking (at your own expense), or simply take it easy and unwind by the jetty or on your private deck.

If you’re not participating in diving or optional excursions, feel free to spend the day soaking up the serene atmosphere and natural beauty that surrounds you.

As the sun sets, enjoy a peaceful evening followed by a buffet dinner under the stars.

  • Optional activities such as island hopping, kayaking, or hiking are subject to additional charges and availability. 
  • For safety reasons, diving on arrival or departure days is not permitted, and a 24-hour no-fly rule applies for divers before boarding a flight. 
  • The itineraries provided above are sample schedules designed to give you an idea of what your stay at Pearl Island Resort might look like. Actual activities, meal times, and schedules may vary based on weather conditions, availability, and other operational factors. We recommend confirming your final itinerary with the resort upon booking to ensure it aligns with your preferences and travel arrangements.  
  • For Bohey Dulang Hike: 
    • Kindly prepare RM50 in cash to cover the Ranger Fee at Bohey Dulang. This fee applies to groups of 1-6 pax.  
    • Sneakers or hiking boots are COMPULSORY for hiking. Sandals, flip-flops, and croc slippers are strictly not allowed. Sabah Parks has the right to ban hikers with improper shoewear.  
    • The shoe rental kiosk is no longer operating, so please remember to bring your own shoes. 
    • In case of rain and the cancellation of the Bohey Dulang hiking, we will swap the activity to a snorkelling session. 
    • Due to the limited number of rangers available, the waiting time can be 1-2 hours, depending on the time it took for the other groups to return to the foothill. 
    • Children below 6 years old are not allowed to join the hiking activity. 
    • Please be ready at the boat departure point at 0800hrs.  
  • Boat journey to the island may not be suitable for individuals who have any of the following conditions (but not limited to): heart or lung conditions, recent surgery, back or spinal surgery, back problems/injury/fracture, arthritis, osteoporosis or other similar spinal/pelvic diseases.    
  • Pregnant women are also not recommended as the boat ride may be bumpy depending on the sea condition. If you are having similar issues as above, kindly consult your physician before joining this tour.   
  • Please do not bring valuables as there are no lockers on the islands.   
  • Be a responsible snorkeller to protect our marine ecosystem.   
    • If we deem your snorkelling skills or attitude may bring harm to the marine life or other guests, the crew has the right to stop you from participating in this activity.   
    • It is strictly prohibited to remove, pick up, step on, or destroy any marine life during the trip.   
    • Do not snorkel separately from the group and follow the crew’s instructions. Failure to do so will result in the crew stopping you from participating in the activity and no refunds will be made. 
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTx). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of RM10/room/night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption. 
  • Effective as of 2012, tourists are required to pay the Jetty Fee of MYR 10/- (Adult) or MYR 5/- (1 to below 12 years old) per person. The Jetty Fee is to be paid directly to The Municipal Council of Semporna.
  • If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, kindly inform the tour operator in advance so that suitable arrangements can be made.

  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle. Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee. Please inform us when making the bookings.
