**3D2N MOUNT KINABALU CLIMB & HQ STAY** Highly recommend, Amazing Borneo, amazing service. Twice I went to Mt. Kinabalu '23 & '25 follows their package. Special mention Ms Sarah, she very supportive solved all my problems, giving me lots of useful information. The transportation and picked up are always on time not delayed, the Captain of the bus Mr Yung was funny and friendly. The accommodations were the BEST, we stayed at Hill Lodge in Kinabalu Park HQ, the rooms are so cosy and very convenient with walking distance 3mins to reach our dinner place Liwagu Restaurant. Choose the right season and we have incredible weather during hiking, reaching the summit - Low's Peak we have a breathtaking view, looking around all the other peaks are all below us, it's an unbelievable feeling. 15 pax group, all reached summit, what an achievement. Will I come back again? Maybe, but if I come, I'll choose Amazing Borneo again.

Hi, I am Cheryl, a Singapore group of 18 climbers for Mount Kinabalu climb on 3th May to 6th May. I am writing to express my heartfelt appreciation and admiration for the exceptional service provided by your entire team during my recent expedition.

I’m grateful to Waty, from Amazing Borneo’s customer service team, who has been incredibly patient and helpful in answering all my inquiries about the climb since December 2024. Thanks to her assistance, I felt assured in choosing Amazing Borneo for this climb. From the moment we reached the airport, I was impressed by the professionalism, dedication from Diana and the driver. She also texted me regarding the personal porters matters too.

In particular, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the mountain guides and porters who played an essential role in making the experience both safe and memorable. Their expertise, encouragement, and tireless support were invaluable—especially during the more challenging parts of the climb. They not only guided us with confidence but also uplifted our spirits with their warmth and kindness. It was clear that their efforts went beyond duty—they genuinely cared about our experience and safety.

I would like to give special mention to the 2nd guide in the photo (starting from the left). He demonstrated a high level of responsibility and clear communication throughout the climb. There was a particular incident where one of my group members had accidentally left her backpack in the room, which I was initially unaware of. When I brought it to his attention, he responded with confidence, assuring me that he had already taken the initiative to open both rooms and double-check that all our bags had been brought down by the porters. I was genuinely impressed by his thoroughness and attention to detail. Additionally, he managed his team effectively, ensuring that all of our group members were looked after—especially during the SUMMIT ascent, which was a challenging part of the journey for all of us. The professionalism shown by him and his team was evident and truly appreciated. The 2nd and 4th guides also assisted us in locating a missing backpack belonging to one of my group members after the bags were transported to the restaurant for lunch.

The Amazing Borneo staff stationed at the hut were also very helpful, especially when I needed assistance after the climb with moving our luggage to the coach and handling matters related to our certificates. They responded promptly and efficiently on the spot. I will definitely recommend Amazing Borneo to my friends for their future Mount Kinabalu climbs. I’m already looking forward to returning to Mount Kinabalu again next year.

'Amazing' Borneo Tours truly lived up to their name for our 3-day, 2-night experience climbing Mount Kinabalu.

From an operational point of view, everything ran like clockwork. Anthony, our salesperson, was incredibly responsive and supportive from the outset and was very accommodating of our needs. From the moment the coach picked us up at our pick-up location, we felt we were getting a 5-star experience. Tom, our local guide, who joined us on the journey to HQ, had great energy and enthusiasm, and his light-heartedness really put people at ease.

The accommodation at HQ was terrific, and the food in the restaurant was top quality. Things are a little more basic up at base camp, but that has to be expected because it's 3200m up! The views at the top of Mount Kinabalu are simply breathtaking and worth all of the effort expended on hiking up across 2 days. We had to stretch our budget to take on this package, but the old adage of you get what you pay for in life rang very true with this experience. Amazing memories that will last forever.

We are a group of 11 friends taking the 3D2N package with Amazing Borneo. The best part of our trip was the mountain guides—Kunol, Alfred, and Sam. They were super helpful and made us feel safe.

My group, eight people, booked 3D2N climbing Mount Kinabalu. One member booked the wrong flight while a luggage arrived late. Amazing Borneo Tour was very helpful and fast responsive. Even though we need to pay some extra, the timing and prompt action were appreciated.

We used Amazing Borneo for our 3 day/ 2 night Mount Kinabalu trek. Having originally booked in 2019 and then rescheduled 2 times due to Covid, Amazing Borneo were very understanding and rearranged our trip to our requirements without question. The trip itself was excellently organised. Upon arrival in the National Park, an Amazing Borneo representative was there to welcome us and arrange our check in and permits. Jessica was very helpful and explained everything really well for us. Our accommodation in the National Park was of a high standard (to the point that I wondered if we were assigned the wrong room, it was so nice!). The next morning Jessica was there again to introduce us to our guide, Alian. I'm unsure if Alian works for Amazing Borneo or the national park but he was excellent. He knew when to interact with us, knew when to let us be and never rushed or made us feel like we were going too slow. Overall a very positive experience. Mount Kinabalu is a difficult trek combining a lot of altitude gain/ loss on each day trekking and day 2 is particularly strenuous, especially if it is raining, like it was for us. For this reason, please ensure that you research it correctly before booking, as its quite expensive so need to make sure that it is within your limits to achieve. If you are a seasoned hiker you'll be fine but if not, just make sure that you look into it in detail before booking (day two is 10-14 hrs hiking over 12 km with a combined altitude gain/ loss of just over 3,000m). One tip for engaging with Amazing Borneo is that response times are much quicker via WhatsApp rather than e-mail. If you have a query on your booking, drop them a WhatsApp as they seem to respond quicker that way. I have no hesitation is recommending Amazing Borneo, my only disappointment is that we didn't have more time to do more tours with them. Thank you for looking after us so well.

As a whole, we are very much satisfied with Amazing Borneo’s overall arrangement, and would definitely recommend other friends to book tours from your company in the future.

We booked our Mt Kinabalu packages with Carol. She was very patient and polite in answering my questions. Our mountain guide Fikri was very encouraging and patient. He even offered to help me with my backpack. Overall, the journey was thrilling and amazing. We wouldn't reach the top if its not because of the excellent service of the mountain guide.

My experience climbing Mount Kinabalu was AWESOME and exhilarating. Beyond words. It was a last minute impromptu decision, I booked through Amazing Borneo for the 3D/2N climb. Everything was so well organised, from the start to the end. No hiccups at all!
Perhaps, because I travel / climb solo, it is easier to handle as compared to group.
I had the best mountain guide Mr Safrey Sumping who made great genuine efforts to ensure my climb was memorable and fun, although I was so tired and my legs were at the verge of failing me at the last 1km to summit. Most importantly, he ensured my safety was paramount from the start of my climb at Timpohon Gate all the way to Low's Peak and back to base. Kudos to this guide!
Special thank you to my two drivers as well, one of them picked me up from KK airport on 31 Jan 2023, and another sent me back to KK city on 2 Feb 2023. They drove in a very orderly manner, no speeding, no zig-zagging, smooth relaxing journey.
It was worth paying for this trip. I will repeat Mount Kinabalu very soon this year, and seriously considering via Feratta but this time.

Is a very intersing climb package, everything just same as the website well organized. Satisfy with the service that provided by Amazing Borneo and is a reliable company. Thanks alot and keep it up.

Regarding the service provided:
- Admin team was responsive to queries (replied to emails within hours in the same day!)
- Was able to accommodate a booking despite the fairly short notice
- Pick up was in a big bus with 20 others. Was informed of a slight delay due to other passengers being late (prompt updates were given so we weren't left guessing)
> Was initially worried that the return bus ride would mean having to wait for the rest to complete their hikes (there is a huge variation in time to completion ~ matter of hours) - but Amazing Borneo arranged for an individual pick up promptly after our hike ended!
- Mountain guide doubled as a porter and was professional throughout
- Accommodations and meals were as promised
- All paperwork was made easy (with regards to climbing permit & accommodations etc), just had to turn up and sign minimal paperwork.

Overall a great experience with the Amazing Borneo team and would recommend it to others :)

Our booking experience with Jenn was great! She was very dependable and efficient in doing her job. We were very happy and satisfied with the itinerary customized for us.

Good experience for my trip to Sabah, pick up on time at hotel, meet the friendly bus captain that drove in safe. Brief by mountain guide Wilson before the climb. Everthings run smooths and the weather was good and clear visibility during climb. Plain to visit Sabah again with Amazing Borneo.
