Overview of Tour

Experience a tour like no other as you explore Sarawak's oldest national park, Bako National Park, and get to know the City of Cats, Kuching. This 3-day, 2-night tour is the perfect package for families that wants an exciting mix of nature immersion and urban exploration in the Land of the Hornbills.

The trip's main highlight is the Bako National Park, located close to the city centre. Feel nature vibrate as you breathe fresh air and focus on the mesmerising view when you take a walk along the jungle trails and charming beaches. Throughout the trip here, keep your eyes open for sightings of wild boars, silver leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, proboscis monkeys, and other rare animals you cannot easily find anywhere else. With its lush rainforest and unique wildlife, the national park provides a remarkable insight into what Borneo's jungles can offer to nature lovers everywhere.  

In the Sarawak capital, let the old shophouses and historical buildings imprint themselves in your memories. Kuching owns a unique facade decorated with aesthetically pleasing buildings, such as the Old Court House, Square Tower, Tua Pek Kong temple and the iconic white cat statue—they are a sight to behold! As you get to know the city and its welcoming people better, you will be doing the Sarawakian "ooohaaa" cheer in no time! 

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival/Kuching City Tour

  • Warm welcome from your guide and captain at the Kuching International Airport before going on your city tour. 
  • Bring on your cameras and capture the beautiful sights of Kuching and its wondrous sights, like White Cat Statue, Old Court House, Post Office, Square Tower, Tua Pek Kong Temple and more. 
  • Head on to Kuching Waterfront and board the “Tambang” - a short boat ride across Sarawak River for a hearty dinner before checking in to your hotel.

Day 2

Bako National Park

  • The rainforest is calling! After breakfast at the hotel, your guide will pick you up and brings you to the Bako Jetty. Registration and safety briefing will take place before the 30 minutes boat ride to the national park.  
  • Upon arrival, take leisurely treks around the national park and test your wildlife spotting skills for the wild boars, silver leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, proboscis monkeys, and more. You will also find out about the mangrove forest and its role in the ecosystem here.  
  • Have lunch at the Bako Canteen before returning to the jetty and transfer back to the city. 
  • Enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.
