Tour highlights

  • Experience the urban and rustic-scapes of Kuching city by touring around the historical sites and heritage buildings such as White Cat Statue, old shophouses, the old Court House, Post Office, Square Tower, and Tua Pek Kong Temple.  
  • Visit the Semenggoh Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre to encounter orangutans in person and see them up close during feeding time. 
  • Visit the Sarawak Cultural Village for an informative tour around the award-winning “living” museum and enjoy an authentic Sarawak Ethnic Lunch feast. 

Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Kuching / Kuching City Tour

  • Gather and greet at Kuching International Airport before embarking on the tour of Kuching City.  
  • Throughout the orientation, you get to hit some must-visit historical spots and buildings such as the White Cat Statue, old shophouses, the old Court House, Post Office, Square Tower, and Tua Pek Kong Temple to get a touch of the background of the city.  
  • In the evening, you will set off to Kuching Waterfront and hop onto a “tambang”, which means a passenger boat in the Malay language, to a restaurant located on the opposite side of the river. It is an ideal way to see the historically significant buildings along the river that snakes across Kuching. 
  • After that, you could relax and enjoy your dinner with a panoramic view of the sunset and city at the restaurant before heading over to your hotel to check in and get a well-deserved rest.

Day 2

Semenggoh Wildlife Centre / Sarawak Cultural Village

  • After filling your stomach with a scrumptious breakfast, we will pick you up for a 45-minute drive to Semenggoh Wildlife Centre - Orang Utans Rehabilitation Centre, home to 25 semi-wild Orang Utans.  
  • You will be transferred to the feeding platform for the feeding show via the newly launched Electric Buggy Service (EBS). You could immerse yourselves in the lush greeneries of natural rainforest habitat and have a glimpse of the man of the forest.  
  • After the feeding show, you will be transferred to the Sarawak Cultural Village and indulge in Sarawak’s Ethnic Lunch feast.  
  • There will be a tour around Sarawak Cultural Village after lunch that showcases seven cultural houses built on a 17-acre site.  
  • You will get acquainted with the local cultures and tribal lifestyles of the seven main Sarawak ethnic groups by seeing how they traditionally live their day-to-day lives from the perspectives of arts, crafts, games and delicacies.  
  • After exploring the village and before going back to the hotel, watch the fun and entertaining cultural performance at the nearby theatre.
