Day 1

Sandakan / Overland Telupid / Deramakot Forest Reserve / Night Safari

Begin your adventure with a transfer from Sandakan Airport or nearby hotels between 09:30 Hrs and 10:30 Hrs.

Enjoy a scenic 2½-hour journey to Telupid town, with a lunch stop along the way.

Prepare for an exhilarating two-hour drive along a rugged gravel road, leading deep into the heart of Deramakot Forest Reserve.

Explore the reserve's expansive 55,507-hectare mixed dipterocarp forest, home to 75% of Sabah’s mammal species.

Spot iconic wildlife such as Bornean orangutans, northern grey Bornean gibbons, and banteng—if luck is on your side.

Check into the park’s chalet and relax until dinner.

Conclude the day with a 2-hour 4x4 night safari, guided by a specialist, to uncover the forest's nocturnal wonders.

Morning Walk / Overland to Sandakan
