Damai Beach Resort is committed to environmental conservation and has taken various initiatives towards this goal. The resort has established a “Go Green Club” to spearhead the implementation of environmental conservation initiatives, including a recycling campaign for staff and guests, rainwater harvesting areas, saying ‘No’ to plastic campaign, reuse of linens, towels, and bedsheets for guests, and exclusion of sharks' fin from all menus. To prevent food wastage, the resort imposes a penalty of RM10 nett for every 100 grammes of food wasted and distributes leftover food to the farming community around the area for composting. In addition, Damai Beach Resort regularly organizes sustainable activities such as the Cycling Team Challenge, tree replanting, the “We Love Cats” Animal Protection programme, and power shutdown once a month to promote environmental conservation.
