Went white water rafting in Kiulu and had an amazing day. We were picked up on time by our driver who explained to us the layout of the day and took us for the 2-hour ride to the river. Once we got there the rafting team was ready to explain all to us. They spoke very clear English and I was surprised by the details in their elaborate instructions. They explained everything to us, from where to sit and position our feet so we wouldn't fall off to what to do if you did and how to get someone back on board once this had happened. After this everyone strapped into their life jacket and helmet and the guides helped push the boat into the water once everyone was in the right position. Each boat had two guides in the back who would help paddle and steer the boat in the right direction if we drifted a bit too much to the side. During the ride there was a stop where everyone could take a swim, it was very funny when we tried to go against the current and would just swim in one place. As we continued there were two other opportunities where those who wanted could swim/drift along the boat as this drifted along a more quiet piece of river. When it was time to get back into the boat the guides would help us as we continued. We saw birds fly over head and lizards taking a dive at one point, we passed by local huts on the short and just watched all the nature in awe pass by, After the journey, the guides took care of all the material so we could just grab lunch at the buffet of this local establishment located in a lush green field near the river. Our driver had driven up there and was ready to take us back home afterwards. Great experience and would definitely book again!
