CHILD POLICY

• Infants younger than 1 year old are FOC.
• Children 1 to 3 years old are charged 10% of the applicable Non-Diver rates, provided they sharing room, does not occupy separate bed with Parents.
• Children 4 to 12 years old are charged 50% of the applicable Non-Diver rates. The resort will provide or put one extra bed in the same room with Parents.
• If one Adult and one Children in a same booking, the child will be charged based on Adult package.

• Night transfer charges will be applied after 18:00 Hrs for any transfer from Tawau Airport to any respective hotel (either in Tawau or Semporna Hotel).
• MYR 30 per way per person (scheduled transfer) will be charged if you need pickup service for
  • Early arrival before check in and after check out and stay overnight at any Hotel at Semporna. 
• Please enquire if you need assistance to choose flight departure or arrival time to prevent waiting too long in the airport.

SEMPORNA JETTY FEE

• Excludes Semporna Jetty Fee payable to The Municipal Council of Semporna. (implemented since 2012)
  • International: MYR 10/- per Adult per trip and MYR 5/- per Child per trip (below 11 years old)
  • Malaysian: MYR 2/- per Adult per trip and FOC per Child per trip (below 11 years old)

EQUIPMENT RENTAL FEE

• Full set of scuba diving equipment is EXCLUDED in the "Diver Package".
• However you may rent it at the resort's Dive Center.
• Full set rental is charged at MYR 100 per day, inclusive of BCD, regulator mask, snorkel, fins and booties.
• The resort scuba tank is K-valve 12L aluminium tanks. NITROX is available at MYR 35 per tank at the Dive Center.

Corkrage Charge

• Guests who brings their own carbonated or alcholic drinks to the resort will be charged  MYR 100 per carton upon arrival regardless the guests drink at their rooms, restaurant or bar.

Discover Scuba Diving

• MYR 250 per person per times. You are advisable to pre-book because is subject to the instructor availability.

Fishing Trip

• Inclusive fishing line, snack & drink, bucket of ice to keep the caught fishes and cooking service for caught fishes.

PADI Courses

• Guests who wish to take e-learning courses and continue the course at the resort can use the 5 Star PADI Dive Centre code: S6288. You have to bring the record with previous instructor to resort in order to continue course at the resort.

• MYR 190 per person per times. Maximum 12 person per trip. You are advisable to pre-book because is subject to the instructor availability.

Important Information About Diving in Sipadan

A permit is required for entry to Sipadan Island. However, issuance is subject to a daily quota set by Sabah Parks. As approvals are granted only a day in advance, advanced confirmation is unavailable. The diving fee for Sipadan is MYR 50per person per day, payable at the resort. Currently, the island limits daily visitors to 250. Please note that due to government conservation efforts, Amazing Borneo and Sipadan Water Village Resort cannot guarantee daily dives at Sipadan. We will, however, do our best to arrange dives for all our guests. Additionally, a minimum Advanced Open Water certification is mandatory for diving in Sipadan.

What Happens If There Are No Sipadan Permits Available at SWV Resort?

Obtaining Sipadan permits is not guaranteed due to limited availability, especially for last-minute requests. If permits are unavailable during your stay at Sipadan Water Village (SWV), our resort management can assist you, upon request, in finding permits from other resorts. Please note that these permits from other resorts will incur an additional charge, ranging from MYR 150to MYR 300 per permit per day. This price is subject to change and will be confirmed upon request at the resort. All permit and boat fees will be payable at the resort according to the current rates. However, securing a permit remains subject to approval. Please note that Sipadan permits are not guaranteed, and there is no first-come, first-served system in place.
