Day 1

Kinabalu Park & Kundasang Highlights (Private Tour)

  • You'll be picked up from your hotel lobby and proceed for a wonderful day in Kinabalu Park & Kundasang to visit the three locations of your choice in Kundasang highlands.
  • Our tour guide-cum-driver will brief you on the route based on the attractions you have chosen. The ride from Kota Kinabalu city to Kundasang takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic situation.
  • On the way up to Kundasang highlands, you will make a pit stop at Nabalu Market, where local folks come to sell their goods. You'll be able to see a variety of vegetables, fruits, food and handicraft. There is also a lookout point which is great for photo taking and to view the majestic Mount Kinabalu on a clear day.
  • When you arrive in Kundasang, our tour guide will suggest a few local restaurants for lunch and you may make a choice as lunch is at your own expenses.
  • After lunch, you will continue on your tour around Kundasang and if there's time, you will make a quick stop at the Kinabalu National Park entrance for photo taking. You will then be transferred back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu city.

About Kinabalu National Park: Kinabalu National Park is Malaysia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark, floristically fantastic with an estimated 5,000-6,000 vascular plant species and identified as a globally important Centre of Plant Endemism. Set at 1,500m above sea level, this 754sq kilometre park features one the tallest mountains in all of South East Asia as its centrepiece, Mount Kinabalu—rising at 4.095.2m with cloud-hugging peaks that catch a breath, enchant eyes and shading valleys below—certainly, a sight to behold from Kinabalu National Park. Also within the park are restaurants amidst lush montane forests, a botanic garden boasting plant species endemic to Mount Kinabalu as well as nature trails varying in length, from 20 minutes to 2-3 hours.

  • Desa Cow Farm - A picturesque dairy farm located at the foot of Mount Kinabalu in Kundasang Valley, where there are calf feeding and milking activities.
  • Alpaca Club - Home to adorable alpacas for guests to interact with.
  • Hooga Cafe - A pit stop for lunch or dinner with many photo opportunities. For a small fee, you can access Farm Ville and a Selfie Garden.
  • Sosodikon Hill -  A vista point from where you can view the majestic Mount Kinabalu on a clear day.
  • Kundasang War Memorial - Established in 1962, this was one of the first memorials to commemorate the brave Australian and British Prisoners of War who died in Sandakan during the infamous death marches to Ranau during World War II.
  • Culvert View - A concept chalet that is colourful with great views. It has a sky mirror, and you can take good photos there with your reflections. 
  • Spring Garden - Surrounded by ethereal flower gardens, enjoy unobstructed views of Mount Kinabalu.
  • Mesilou Highland Strawberry Farm - Pick your own juicy strawberries and enjoy refreshing treats at this scenic highland farm.
  • Rabbit Farm (Arnab Village) - Get up close and interact with over 1,000 adorable bunnies of different species, including Angora, Lionhead, Satin, Rex, and Holland Lop.
  • Hidden Hill Kundasang - Escape to a breathtaking viewpoint with panoramic mountain vistas and a charming Japanese-inspired village atmosphere.

*Note: Effective 1 January 2026, the use of single-use plastic bags is strictly prohibited in all Sabah Parks. This policy is implemented to safeguard the natural environment and protect both marine and forest ecosystems from pollution and long-term harm. Visitors are required to bring their own reusable eco bags when entering any Sabah Parks area.
