Borneo Rainforest Lodge

  • MYR 120 per person will be imposed if your tour dates fall within the following period (both dates inclusive):

    • 1 March - 30 April
    • 15 July - 15 October

For Certified Diver Only (All Dive Program / Arrangement will be Organised by the Resort's Dive Centre)

  • If you are a licensed diver, you are eligible to book this package, or you can choose to purchase "Non-Diver Package", with additional cost if you wish to dive. 
  • If you are not a licensed diver, please refer to the "Non-Diver Package".
  • Prices quoted are all inclusive except for dive equipment, where guest can bring their own or rent from the resort or just rent some that they need only. Guest may also choose to dive cetain day or time only but no refund.
  • Only Certified Divers may participate in scuba diving activities, unless they are enrolled in a scuba training program and under the strict supervision of their certified instructor.
  • Guests need to produce their certification card prior to diving. Failure to product certification card/credentials may result in the guest being denied permission to scuba dive until they can prove their certification level.
  • Certified divers minimum requirement is PADI Open Water-recreational dive certificate or equivalent.
  • All scuba divers must accept full and complete responsibility for themselves, their actions and their equipment.

Your adventure begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel or Sandakan Airport. 

Head to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre within the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve, where you'll watch an informative documentary and witness orangutan during their feeding time in their natural habitat. 

Visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre to learn about the conservation of the world's smallest bears, known for their distinctive crescent-shaped chest markings. 

Travel to Bilit Jetty and enjoy a scenic boat ride to Bilit Rainforest Lodge in Bilit Village, an eco-lodge located along the banks of the iconic Kinabatangan River.

Sandakan / Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary

After breakfast, check out of Lankayan Island Dive Resort. 

Take a boat back to the jetty, then transfer by land to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. First established in 2000, the 400-acre site was originally meant to be developed into an oil palm estate. But when the owners discovered a small population of proboscis monkeys living within the site, plans for palm oil were quickly replaced with plans for a wildlife sanctuary instead. At last count, there were about 150 proboscis monkeys residing within Labuk Bay. 

Here, you can witness not only Proboscis Monkeys but also other wildlife such as Small Clawed Otters and Silvered Leaf Monkeys, in their natural environment.  

After lunch, transfer to your Sandakan accommodation, where you can unwind for the rest of the day.

  • Notes on Camera Use at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre: 
    • Cameras with zoom lenses from 100 to 400mm, video cameras, or other video recording equipment for personal use are subject to a fee of RM10/unit. 
    • Cameras with fixed lenses 400mm and above or any filmmaking equipment incur a charge of RM1,000/unit. 
    • Payment in cash only. 
  • Notes on Borneo Rainforest Lodge (BRL): 
    • Cell phone coverage is available but limited depending on weather conditions and satellite function. Be prepared to have no coverage for some of your stay. 
    • A permit is required for any photos and videos taken for commercial use. This must be arranged prior to your trip. 
    • BRL is a no-fly zone.  The use of drones is strictly prohibited over or within BRL and the surrounding rainforests. 
  • Please ensure you are holding air ticket to Sandakan. 
  • Standard check-in and check-out times for most hotels & resorts are 1400 hrs & 1200 hrs. However, check-in & check-out times may vary depending on each accommodation. So kindly check with us to get accurate check-in & check-out times of your accommodation.  
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTx). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption. 
  • Some parts of your tour may involve moderate physical activity.  Comfortable footwear and a reasonable level of fitness are recommended. 
  • Respect the natural environment and wildlife.  Avoid littering and follow the “leave no trace” principle by not disturbing the surrounding flora and fauna. 
  • If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, kindly inform the tour operator in advance so that suitable arrangements can be made. 

  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle.  Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee.  Please inform us when making the bookings.

  • Infants, pregnant women and senior citizens (above 80 years old) are not allowed by boat to Lankayan Dive Resort.  
  • Amazing Borneo and Lankayan Dive Resort will not be held liable for any delay, additional expenses or inconvenience which may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside of the company's control, such as late arrival of domestic or international flights, civil disturbances, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, act of God, act of Government, or the failure of any machinery or equipment and property whilst staying at the resort, during participation of any activity. The resort withholds the right to change the planned itinerary, leave for the jetty early or change the schedule.   
  • Amazing Borneo and Lankayan Dive Resort will not be held responsible, or in any way liable, for property losses, personal losses, accidents, injuries, or deaths for any reason whatsoever, whether through any activities booked through us or caused to you by third parties. All guests will be required to read and sign the company Standard Liability Form and other related forms at the resort upon arrival and check-in.
