Sabah Outdoor Cooking Tour - Learn Traditional Dishes By Local Chef

Sink your teeth in a slice of tradition. By that we mean, add some sizzle to your holiday with some outdoor cooking action! Its one thing to be sampling local delicacies, but it’s a whole different thing when you’re behind the stove pounding on spices and ethnic flavors. As travel is more than just seeing, rather what you experience, this outdoor cooking class grants you a chance to be truly immersed in Sabah culture and the culinary tradition steeped in centuries of history.

LEMAING HUT (3230M a.s.l.) at Laban Rata, Mount Kinabalu

From avid mountain hikers to outdoor enthusiasts with an average fitness level, the steep scramble through sub-alpine meadows, montane forests and gnarly rugged terrains to ultimately the tallest peak in South East Asia is quite a victory. The pursuit to the top of Mt. Kinabalu however, is broken down into a 2 day climb, where an overnight stay is required at one of the mountain lodges before continuing the journey to the summit.

Twin Island hopping - Manukan and Sapi

We departed from Sutera Harbour around 9.30 to go to the first of two Islands – Manukan. As soon as we got there we got our snorkeling equipment and went into the crystal clear water. For me, this was my first time snorkeling. It was really cool, it’s a total different world under the surface. Just beautiful! Among all the fishes we saw, with all kind of colors you can think of, we saw “Nemo” fishes and a puffer fish (not puffing though). We stayed in the water for about one hour. It is very tiring to be under the water snorkeling. So we got up and bought some refreshments at the store. Then we just hung around in the water until it was time to get on the boat to go to the next island - Sapi Island.
