As part of Amazing Borneo’s ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainable tourism, we were humbled to carry out a heartfelt donation delivery to Woori Jib, a home for underprivileged children in Sabah.
This simple but significant gesture was originally initiated by one of our Singaporean guests, who had planned to visit Woori Jib personally to deliver a small token of support. Unfortunately, due to last-minute changes, they were unable to attend and entrusted our team to carry out the delivery on their behalf.
A Shared Commitment to Care
While the donation itself may have been modest, the impact was deeply meaningful. At Amazing Borneo, we believe that sustainability goes beyond the environment. It includes empowering local communities, supporting the vulnerable, and helping our guests engage in purposeful giving when they travel.
This act reflects the shared values between us and our travellers: kindness, connection, and conscious contribution. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve as a bridge between a guest’s goodwill and a local community in need.
About Woori Jib
Woori Jib, which means "Our Home" in Korean, is a registered non-profit organisation that provides care and shelter for underprivileged children in Sabah. The home focuses on creating a safe and nurturing environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive despite difficult beginnings.
Their work is a reminder that sustainability includes social responsibility, and that supporting people is just as crucial as protecting nature.
