Your first nature encounter awaits at Semenggoh Nature Reserve, a sanctuary that allows you to see semi-wild orangutans in their natural habitat. Your journey will also bring you to the Bako National Park, boasting the title of Sarawak's oldest national park. Arrive Kuching Airport, meet and transfer to your hotel in the city.
Your afternoon city tour pick-up awaits at the hotel lobby, where you will then depart for an exciting Kuching City tour. Experience the beauty of a multi-racial community and see places of interest in Kuching. To start the tour, you will visit the Historical Buildings of the White Rajahs, including The General Post Office, The Old court House, The Clock Tower, The Charles Brooke Memorial and The Square Tower.
The tour continues with scenic views of Sarawak State Legislative Building, The Astana, Fort Magherita and the Malay Village across the river from the Kuching Waterfront.
Return to hotel for the overnight stay.
Rise and shine! You will depart to Matang Wildlife Centre, which covers around 180 hectares of lowland forest. The centre aims to educate students on nature studies, cater to researchers from local and overseas universities, conserve endangered species through rehabilitation, and provide recreational time amidst the rock pools, waterfalls and hiking trails.
The Matang Wildlife Centre is part of Kubah National Park, housing endangered wildlife in large enclosed rainforest areas or spacious cages. Young orangutans, who were either orphaned or rescued from captivity, are taught how to survive in the wild and once ready, they are let free. The centre also houses some sambar deer, sun bear, civets, and some species of endangered birds.
Afterwards, proceed to Kubah National Park, where Kubah’s most prominent feature stands, its palms. Almost a hundred different palm species can be found in just over 22 sq km, making Kubah one of the richest palm habitats for its size anywhere in the world. Then, get on a trail with an amphibian specialist to spot many species of frogs that live in abundance in the park area.

Good morning! Enjoy your breakfast before meeting at the hotel lobby for departure to Semenggoh Wildlife Centre. The centre is a 740-hectare stretch of virgin forest, home to semi-wild orangutans. Learn more about how the centre functions as a Rehabilitation Centre as well as study and observe orangutans at a distance.
After the tour completes, you will depart to Permai Rainforest Resort for check-in and overnight. Lunch is served en-route.

Rise and shine! Breakfast is served at the hotel. Afterwards, you will depart for Sarawak Cultural Village, an award-winning living museum located on a 17-acre site. It has seven representative ethnic houses with natives residing and making handicrafts.
Your visit to the Cultural Village will shed light on the colourful traditions of various races in Sarawak. Enjoy a live performance that highlights the many vibrant dances of the people of Sarawak. After a culture-filled day, return to Permai Rainforest Resort. Lunch is served en-route.

Enjoy your breakfast before departing for a 45-minute drive to Bako Fishing Village. Continue your journey via boat for a 30-minute cruise along the coastal charms to finally reach Bako.
The park has an area of 16 sq km of primary forest with abundant botanical treasure consisting of 25 vegetation types, including the carnivorous pitcher plant. Bako’s mangrove forest is home to the proboscis monkeys, which can only be found in Borneo. Some species, like the long-tailed macaques, silver leaf monkeys, monitor lizards, and Bornean bearded pigs, can be easily seen. You can also trek through the mangrove forest to observe mud skippers and blue-fiddler crabs.

Good morning! If you did not get the proboscis monkeys the evening before, you can take an early morning trek to see them as they start their day at the river banks. After breakfast, check out and depart for your accommodation at in Kuching.
