Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu / North Borneo Cruises - Sunset Dinner Cruise

  • Kopivosian! Welcome to Kota Kinabalu! On arrival at Kota Kinabalu International Airport, you will be transferred to Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa, a perfect tropical getaway, a luxurious tranquil retreat just a short drive from the city. Check in as sophistication surrounds you in a beautifully decorated room inspired by Borneo’s rich cultural heritage. This afternoon is yours to relax and settle in.
  • Your tropical evening on the North Borneo Cruise begins at Sutera Marina Jetty. Get ready to become acquainted with the charms of Kota Kinabalu on a whole new level.
  • All aboard! Your evening unfolds along the sultry sun-tinged South China Sea, cruising pass the islands and water villages that dot Sabah’s west coast.
  • You are free to wander around the vessel. Panoramic ocean views, warmth of the setting sun and gentle sea breeze grace the upper-deck while a live band serenades the ethnic themed air-conditioned restaurant below with acoustic favorites.
  • Dinner will be served buffet style. Time to sink your teeth into Sabah’s most sought after culinary experience.
  • As the sun sets and the stars come out, Kota Kinabalu’s coastline now comes alive with dazzling city night lights. The North Borneo Cruise will glide across the Waterfront as you indulge in dessert or your next glass of wine.
  • Your rendezvous at sea comes to an end. You will disembark from the cruise at the Sutera Marina Jetty, and drop off back at the hotel.

Day 2 - Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Spring

  • After breakfast at the hotel, take a scenic 1/2 hr drive to Tamparuli Town. Visit Historical Wooden Shop houses of olden days and walk across the “Jambatan Tamparuli”, a suspension bridge which is the famous landmark in that small town to get a feel of kampong lifestyle.
  • Thereafter, proceed to Kinabalu Park. Journey will take approximately 1 1/2 hours passing by villages and paddy fields along mountainous roads that wind along the Crocker range. Along the way, make a brief stop at Nabalu. Nabalu is a place where the local natives gather to sell local produce, fruits, home grown vegetables and handicraft souvenirs.
  • On arrival at Kinabalu Park, you will notice the change in air temperature. Enjoy the refreshing and cooling air as you proceed for a walk along the nature trails in the Botanical Garden. If the day is clear, you may even spot a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain between the New Guinea and Himalaya. Kinabalu Park boasts an estimate of 4,500 species of plants which include 1,500 species of orchids, 77 of which are endemic to Kinabalu. The park also supports 289 species of birds and 290 different types of butterflies. After the walk, depart for lunch at a local restaurant.
  • After lunch, depart for another interesting wonder, the Poring Hot Spring. At approximately 47 kilometers from Kinabalu Park, Poring Hot Spring got its name from the tall bamboo plant that is abundant in that area. At this natural hot spring, there are Japanese baths where visitors can soak themselves and let the invigorating sulfurous water stimulate the body. It is believed to have curative powers. Visitors can also try the Treetop Canopy Walk, where suspension bridge are suspended at the top of the tropical jungle. Experience the height of 41 metres above the ground and length of 157 metres. A 20 minutes hike is needed to reach the Canopy Walkway.
  • After a relaxing soak, bid Kinabalu park goodbye as you return back to your hotel.

Day 3 - Fun Boat Snorkelling / Asian Blend SPA Treatment

  • After breakfast, pick up from hotel lobby and depart to jetty for a day in the sun!
  • Upon arrival at the jetty, hop on to the boat and you will be whisked off for a 20 minutes ride to the first snorkeling point at the cluster of Islands that make up Tunku Abdul Rahman Park.  Commence your Snorkeling boat session, accompanied by our experienced Dive Master.
  • Proceed to the next Snorkeling point, for a chance to spot more exotic sea life in the beautiful Marine park. Spend a designated time snorkeling.
  • All the fun and relaxation will work up an appetite. Upon completion of the second snorkeling session, transfer to one of the TARPs island for lunch. Thereafter, free and easy to relax on golden shores, bask in the sunshine to earn that suntan or explore the short forest trail on your own. If you haven’t got enough of the life in the deep blue sea, snorkel from the shores to say hello to the colorful parade of fishes that reign the underwater world.
  • In the mid afternoon, pack up and take the boat transfer back to mainland, and drop off back at the hotel.
  • This evening, a 60 minutes pampering session at CHI, The Spa rounds off the day. With treatments based on traditional Asian healing philosophies, you lose yourself in an enchanted and indulgent journey, all on the resort’s private spa island.

Day 4 - Home Sweet Home (Or Extend Tour)

  • Breakfast in hotel. Check out and bid farewell to Kota Kinabalu as you will be transferred to Airport for your flight back.

  • About Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Spring:
    • Kinabalu Park is at high altitude approximately 1500 meter above sea level - it can get cold.
    • The Canopy Walkway is approximately 40 meters above the ground - not for the faint Hearted.
    • Poring Hot Spring Outdoor Bathtubs are for complimentary use and are free of charge. Guests can rent Indoor bathtubs but at own expense.
    • There are only ten (10) standard and five (05) deluxe Indoor Bathubs at Poring Hot Spring. Rates are at MYR 15/- per hour per standard indoor bathtub and MYR 20/- per hour per deluxe indoor bathtub payable on the spot but are subject to availability.
    • The Slide Pool located in Poring Hot Springs is closed on every Mondays for maintenance. Guests are able to purchase the entrance fee (at own expense) to Slide Pool for MYR 3/- per person. Free for 6 years old and below.
    • Kindly take note that camera fees apply before entering Canopy Walk. Cameras will be charged MYR 5 each and Video Cameras / Camcoders will be charged MYR 30 each.
    • Butterfly Farm located in Poring Hot Springs is closed on every Mondays.
  • Standard check-in and check-out times for most hotels & resorts are 1400Hrs & 1200Hrs. However, check-in & check-out times may vary depending on each accommodation. So kindly check with us to get accurate check-in & check-out times of your accommodation.
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle.  Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee.  Please inform us when making the bookings.

  • For any Island tour, if you're interested in water sports (ie banana boat, seawalking, parasailing, etc), be sure to bring along a little bit of extra cash as these activities are not included in our tour package.
  • Before going out for some fun in the sun, you may bring along some SPF50 sunscreen and an umbrella to protect your skin.
