Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu / Lovely Paradise Island / Snake Island / Boat Snorkelling / Pulau Tiga / Volcanic Mud Spa

07:00 – 07:15 Hrs: Meet your guide at your hotel lobby in Kota Kinabalu. Begin the day with a scenic transfer to Jesselton Point Jetty, where your boat to Pulau Tiga awaits.

Set off on a one-hour cruise across the South China Sea, enjoying fresh ocean breezes and views of Sabah’s coastline before arriving at Lovely Paradise Island, a lesser-known sandbank often described as a private island escape. Receive a warm welcome drink and towel at the Lovely Paradise Beach Club reception, followed by a short safety briefing to prepare for your island adventure.

Continue to Snake Island, a small, uninhabited island within Tiga Island National Park. Here you’ll witness harmless sea snakes resting along the rocks and sandy shores — a rare wildlife encounter that highlights the park’s biodiversity.

Next, enjoy guided boat snorkelling at two marine sites, where the less crowded waters reveal schools of tropical fish and colourful coral gardens. With crystal-clear visibility, this is an ideal opportunity to discover Sabah’s marine life away from the busier islands.

Return to Lovely Paradise Beach Club for a freshly prepared seafood lunch, accompanied by panoramic views of turquoise waters and swaying palms. This is your time to relax and soak up the private island atmosphere before continuing the adventure.

In the afternoon, sail to Pulau Tiga, the original Survivor Island as featured on the popular TV show. Trek 1 km through its forest trails to the volcanic mud pools, where you can immerse yourself in mineral-rich mud for a fun and therapeutic natural spa experience. It’s a highlight of the day that blends wellness with adventure in a unique setting.

After rinsing off, return by boat to Jesselton Point and transfer back to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu. Estimated drop-off is 17:00 Hrs, marking the end of a full and unforgettable island day trip.
