Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Mengalum Island - Scuba Dive Adventure

Rise and Shine, your pick-up awaits at the hotel lobby for a rosy day out in the wilds of Mengalum Island. ETA is before 0750hrs for registration at Sutera Harbour Jetty.

Hop on a speedboat and be whisked to away towards a wide spread of Sun, Sand and Sea! Your journey will take approximately 1Hour.

Upon arrival at the first dive site, have a short safety and dive site briefing.  Thereafter, rig up, buddy check, and dive into the clear turquoise waters!  Explore the underwater world brimming with marine life and exotic sea creatures.

Time for Surface Interval!  Packed Lunch will be served as the boat docks on Mengalum Island.  After lunch, it is free and easy to snatch a quick snooze in the shade or splash about on the beautiful white sandy shoreline.  Revel in the pristine and untouched beauty of the island.

Proceed to the second dive site for yet another exciting dive.   Keep a sharp eye out for lion fish, moray eels, scorpion fishes, and more!  Macro lovers will also see an interesting variety of nudibranchs and other tiny munchkin creatures.

At the end of your dive, resurface back to reality.  Bid farewell to the sunny splendors of Mengalum Island, time to zip back to Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • Boat journey to the Island may not be suitable for individuals who have any of the following conditions but not limited to: heart or lung conditions, recent surgery, back or spinal surgery, back problems/injury/fracture, arthritis, osteoporosis or other similar spinal/pelvic diseases. Pregnant women are also not recommended as the boat ride may be bumpy depending on the sea condition. If you are having similar issues as above, kindly consult your physician before you enrol in this activity.
  • Kindly note that you are responsible for the safe keeping of your belongings at all time. We do not encourage guests bringing along electronic devices, valuables and important documents.
  • Due to the nature and adventurous nature of the tour, children under 5 years old are not encouraged to participate in the tours.
  • You are not allowed to dive 18 hours before your flight. Please schedule your flights accordingly.
  • You will need to sign the PADI release & liability form before proceeding for your dives.
  • Kindly follow the instructions of your Dive Instructor or Dive Master at all times.
  • Alcohol consumption during your dive course or trip is NOT RECOMMENDED.
  • Kindly inform in advance if you have any health concerns.
  • Conservation of the Underwater World - Harming of coral or marine life is strictly not allowed.
  • You are advised to purchase personnel injury & travel insurance prior to your trip.

  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle.  Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee.  Please inform us when making the bookings.
  • Your safety is our top priority. Should the weather or sea conditions render it unsafe to proceed for this tour, Amazing Borneo Tours reserves the right to change or cancel tour. Tour will be refunded accordingly.
  • Departure time is approximate and varies from different hotels due to traffic conditions, please reconfirm with our staffs. Should the transport be delayed, please call the relevant telephone number as stated on the voucher before making alternative arrangements.

USEFUL TRAVEL TIPS

  • Your belongings may get wet. You can bring along waterproof bags such as dry bags or plastic bags to keep your belongings nice and dry!
  • Before going out for some fun in the sun, you may bring along some SPF50 sunscreen and an umbrella to protect your skin.
