Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu / Mengalum Island Resort

  • Rise and Shine, your pick-up awaits at the hotel lobby for a rosy day out in the wilds of Mengalum Island. ETA is before 0750hours for registration at Sutera Harbour Jetty.
  • 0800hrs: Hop on a speedboat and be whisked to away towards a wide spread of Sun, Sand and Sea! Your journey will take approximately 1Hour.
  • 0915hrs: Shades on, shirts off! An icy cool Welcome drink awaits you upon your arrival at Mengalum Island where you will then make your way to Sundeck Restaurant. Before having all the fun you can possibly imagine to have in the sun, a safety briefing will be conducted first and foremost.
  • 1000hrs: Gear up, it’s snorkel time! Jump right into the turquoise waters and greet the underwater critters of Mengalum Island during your 2 snorkel sessions with a guided boat.
  • 1200hrs: Skedaddle back onto Mengalum Island after a thrilling few hours out at sea. Stretch out on the white sandy beach, work on your tan and just take it easy before lunch is served.
  • 1230hrs: Dig into a sumptuous buffet lunch served at the Sundeck Restaurant. All that excitement must’ve worked up an appetite!
  • 1300hrs: Check into your island chalet for the night, thereafter, free at your own leisure.
  • 1500hrs: Take it easy and relax for the rest of the day.
  • 1730hrs: Sunset is a feast for the eyes from the Sundeck Point, so don’t miss out on this one. (Depends on the weather condition)
  • 1900hrs: Dinner will be served at Sundeck Restaurant.

Day 2 - Mengalum Island Resort / Kota Kinabalu

  • 0730hrs: Awake to the sounds of the ocean waves. Breakfast will be served at Sundeck Restaurant. You are free at leisure for the rest of the morning.
  • 0930hrs: Pack up your belongings, extra cautious not to leave anything behind. Check out of chalet.
  • 1100hrs: Time for your last snorkel before saying goodbye to the whimsical underwater world. (1 session with guided boat) or opt to be free at leisure to enjoy the island breeze.
  • 1200Hrs: Check out from island chalet and proceed to Sundeck Restaurant.
  • 1230hrs: Lunch is served at Sundeck Restaurant.
  • 1330hrs: Settle down and relax after lunch.
  • 1430-1500hrs: Bid farewell to the sunny splendors of Mengalum Island, time to zip back to Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty.
  • 1700hrs: Arrive at Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty and transfer to your respective hotel.

  • The boat journey to this Island may not be suitable for individuals who have any of the following conditions but not limited to: heart or lung conditions, recent surgery, back or spinal surgery, back problems/injury/fracture, arthritis, osteoporosis or other similar spinal/pelvic diseases. Pregnant women are also not recommended as the boat ride may be bumpy depending on the sea condition. If you are having similar issues as above, kindly consult your physician before you enrol in this activity.
  • Kindly note that you are responsible for the safe keeping of your belongings at all time. We do not encourage guests bringing along electronic devices, valuables and important documents.
  • Due to the nature and adventurous nature of the tour, children under 5 years old are not encouraged to participate in the tours.
  • Liability Release Form MUST be understood and signed by the participant before the tour commences
  • Standard check-in and check-out times for most hotels & resorts are 1400Hrs & 1200Hrs. However, check-in & check-out times may vary depending on each accommodation. So kindly check with us to get accurate check-in & check-out times of your accommodation.
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level.The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle.  Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee.  Please inform us when making the bookings.

  • Before going out for some fun in the sun, you may bring along some SPF50 sunscreen and an umbrella to protect your skin.
