HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

  • To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all guests and associates, we will only allow guests who are “Fully Vaccinated” as per the requirements issued by MKN (National Security Council Malaysia) and classified as “Low Risk” and “Casual Contact” into the premises
  • All guests are required to present the digital vaccine certificate via the MySejahtera App for verification upon making reservations and during check-in
  • We have the right to refuse entry if guests or visitors exhibit body temperatures above 37.5°C or if they are listed under Close Contact status, Person Under Surveillance (PUS) status, Suspected Case status and Confirmed Case status
  • If an MCO is declared by the relevant government authorities during your booked date, you may choose to obtain a full refund or may choose to book for another date after the announced MCO
  • We reserve the right to change the aforesaid promotion, benefits, and/or terms
  • Kids below 17 year old are allowed with fully vaccinated parent

Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu / Kota Belud / Mantanani Island / Kota Belud / Kota Kinabalu

Sample Itinerary:

  • Rise with the sun as a pick-up time of 0700hrs will be at your hotel lobby, where we will whisk you away to the jetty located in Kota Belud. Estimated travel time will be 1 hour & 45 minutes from Kota Kinabalu.
  • Arrival at the jetty and hop on 1 hour boat-ride to Mantanani Island, taste the salt in the air, wind in your hair and anticipate the warm shores of paradise.
  • Upon arrival at Mantanani Island, freshen up… suit up for water activities (snorkeling / leisure dive / discover scuba diving), but before that, boost up your energy with the light refreshments provided. *Leisure Dive temporary not available at the moment until further notice.
  • Lunch is provided at the Dive Lodge. And fresh coconuts are available for purchase on the island.
  • 1500hrs: Depart back to jetty. Upon arrival to jetty, a van will be ready to usher you back into the vibrant streets of Kota Kinabalu and then to your respective hotel.

Snorkeling Activity & Non-Divers Itinerary:

  • 1045hrs: Upon reaching Mantanani Island, soak in the golden rays of sun, chill for abit and gear up for 1st snorkeling session. Gear will be issued by our crew.
  • Hop on the boat and cruise on through to the first house reef snorkeling site.
  • 1230hrs: Return back to island for a sumptuous lunch. 
  • 1330hrs: After lunch, continue to the second snorkeling house reef site or relish in lazy-moments on the beach where you can also go for a dip around the house reef.

Leisure Diving Activity Itinerary (For Cert Divers):

  • 1045hrs: Upon reaching starting point, Dive equipments will be provided to the guests. 
  • After gearing up, safety briefing will be given by our Divemaster / Dive Instructor 
  • Proceed to the 1st Dive site with boat.
  • Dive commences.
  • 1230hrs: Return back to Dive Lodge for lunch.
  • 1330hrs: After lunch, free and leisure in the island.

Discover Scuba Diving Activity Itinerary (For Non-Cert Divers):

  • 1045hrs: Arrival at Mantanani Island. After gearing up, a safety briefing will be given by our Dive Instructor/Master.
  • After necessary briefing, proceed to your 1st Dive in shallow waters (waist deep) around the beach to familiarize with the equipment and learn basic skills.
  • After 1st dive in shallow waters, we will be proceed to the dive site with boat. 
  • Return back to dive lodge for lunch.
  • After lunch, free and easy in this beautiful island.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • This tour is conducted by Mantanani Island Resorts Operators.
  • Participant must be physically fit as this is an adventure tour.
  • The boat journey to this Island may not be suitable for individuals who have any of the following conditions but not limited to: heart or lung conditions, recent surgery, back or spinal surgery, back problems/injury/fracture, arthritis, osteoporosis or other similar spinal/pelvic diseases. Pregnant women are also not recommended as the boat ride may be bumpy depending on the sea condition. If you are having similar issues as above, kindly consult your physician before you enrol in this activity.
  • Kindly note that you are responsible for the safe keeping of your belongings at all time. We do not encourage guests bringing along electronic devices, valuables and important documents.
  • Due to the nature and adventurous nature of the tour, children under 5 years old are not encouraged to participate in the tours.
  • Age limit for diving with compressed air is 12 years old and above.
  • Liability Release Form MUST be understood and signed by the participant before the tour commences.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE

  • Package inclusive of return land and boat transfer from Jesselton Point to Mantanani Island.
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle. Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee. Please inform us when making the bookings.
  • Boat journey to the island may not be suitable for individuals suffering from the following ailments: heart or lung conditions, recent surgery, back or spinal surgery, back problems / injury / fracture, arthritis, osteoporosis or other similar spinal and pelvic diseases. Pregnant women are also not recommended as boat rides tend to be bumpy depending on sea conditions. If you are suffering from similar issues as mentioned above, kindly consult with your physician before enrolling in this activity.
  • For safety reasons, the trip may get cancelled or revert halfway if the weather or sea condition is deemed unsafe for the journey to proceed. Therefore, we do not recommend you go on this trip if it is the same day as your departure flight in the event the weather does not permit for the boat transfer to return to the mainland on the same day.
  • Should any unforeseen circumstances arise, we recommend you to carefully set out your own schedule with some leeway to ensure you do not miss your next activity.
  • Your safety is our top priority. Should the weather or sea conditions render it unsafe to proceed for this tour, we reserve the right to change or cancel tour. Tour will be refunded accordingly.
  • Departure time is approximate and varies from different hotels due to traffic conditions, please reconfirm with our staffs. Should the transport be delayed, please call the relevant telephone number as stated on the voucher before making alternative arrangements.
  • We reserve the right to alter routes, timetables, itineraries and accommodation reserved should conditions beyond our control render it necessary.
  • Tipping is like giving a hug. Although it’s never expected, it’s always very much appreciated.
