Mabul Island: Sipadan Water Village Resort-v1

Note for Divers:

• Full set of scuba diving equipment is EXCLUDED in the package. However guest may rent it at the resort's Dive Center. Full set rental is charged at MYR 100 per day, inclusive of BCD, regulator mask, snorkel, fins and booties. The resort scuba tank is K-valve 12L aluminium tanks. NITROX is available at MYR 35 per tank at the Dive Center.

• Meet and Pick Up at Tawau Airport (0600hrs - 1400hrs) or Hotel in Tawau (0600hrs - 0900hrs)
• Return Land Transfer from Tawau Airport to Semporna Jetty (around 75 mins)
• Return Boat Transfer from Semporna Jetty to Mabul Island (around 45 mins)
• Twin-sharing water cottage accommodation with sun deck at balcony
• Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner (Depends on arrival and departure day)
• Only1 boat snokeling with equipment (Kapalai or Sipadan or other part of Mabul Island depending on Dive Center arrangement)
• Unlimited house reef snorkeling WITHOUT equipment 0800hrs to 1800 hrs with buddy

Note for NON DIVING/SNORKELING Package:
Please take note snorkeling equipment will be provided for guests who wish to snorkel in SWV house reef, Paradise 1 and 2 between 0800hrs to 1800hrs. Package is ONLY inclusive 1 boat snorkeling to Kalapai Island .

Additional boat snorkeling trip (Kapalai or Sipadan or other part of Mabul Island) is chargeable at MYR 65 per person per trip. This includes snorkeling equipment and snorkeling guide.

MYR 185 per dive will be charged for the non-diving package guest with certified diving licence who wish to go for boat dive; diving equipment is not included in the package.

• Important Information About Diving in Sipadan
  Entering Sipadan Island, require permit and may not be approved on certain days if the quota is exceeded. Approval is issued by Sabah Park early one day before entering therefore would not be able to tell in advance. Guest can dive in Sipadan will be charged MYR 50 per person per day and that can be paid at the resort. Sipadan at this present moment only allowed 120 persons per day. Amazing Borneo and Sipadan Water Village Resort hold no responsibility for not being able to dive everyday in Sipadan due to conservation done by our Government. The resort only try their best to arrange every of our guests to dive at Sipadan.
• What Happens If There Are No Sipadan Permits Available at SWV Resort?
  There is NO Guarantee that we can obtain permits due to limited spaces especially if it is a last minute request. In the event that there are no Sipadan permits available during your stay at Sipadan Water Village (SWV), the Resort Management may endeavour to assist you to book permit from other resorts (upon request). You will therefore have to bear the permit charges from other resorts which the amount will be advised accordingly at the resort itself. This price varies from MYR 150 to MYR 300 per permit per day is subject to change and will be updated every now and then. Guest is to pay for the permit and boat fees at the resort according to the current rate. This will be subject to your approval. Please note that Sipadan permit is not guaranteed and there is no first come first serve basis.

• Please take note that it would not be possible for us to do the transfer directly to the resort on the same day if the arrival is late as it would be dark for the boat transfer and is not advisable for safety reason. Please advice to take flight before or at 1400hrs arrival at Tawau Airport for direct transfer to Sipadan Water Village Resort, Mabul.
• Night transfer charges will apply after 1800hrs for the transfer from Tawau Airport to any respective hotel (either in Tawau or Semporna Hotel).
• Catching the earliest departure flight from Tawau Airport would also not be possible as the departure from the resort will have to be extremely early and it would be dark and hence not advisable for safety reasons.
• Amazing Borneo and Sipadan Water Village Resort will not obligate or compensate for waiting too long in the airport or flight delay. However, we will assist the guests should they require any assistance from us.

• Tipping is like giving a hug. Although it’s never expected, it’s always very much appreciated.

• All reservation MUST provide the following information at least 30 days before the trip dates: Name as per passport, NRIC (for Malaysians), Passport Number, Nationality, Date of Birth, Gender, Contact Number & Flight details
• Package Excludes: Diving equipments & gears, beverages, laundry, room service, airfares and item not mentioned or specified in the packages
• Extension Stay: Extension Night Stay is permitted subject to the accommodation availability
• Full payment is required 30 days prior to commencement of services. If full payment is not received by the due date, your reservation will be cancelled and full deposit will be retained by the Resort. 
• The resort accepts notes like USD, YEN and EURO. Please take note all notes have to be in good condition. If there is any damages or grafitti on the notes, they will not be accepted.
• After commencement of service, no refund, in part or full, will be given for services included in the package which have not been utilized
• In case of cancellation, any payment made would not be refundable but is transferrable to other dates within a year from the cancellation with written email. All items in the package are non-refundable or transferable.
• Weather conditions: We cannot predict the weather conditions these days for scuba diving even for the best season
• Guest is required to go for medical check to ensure your health is in good condition.
• We strongly recommend that all guests take up adequate travel insurance that covers accident, loss caused by cancellations, loss of baggage, personal property, medical expenses, medical evacuation and weather disruption that caused any acitivity cancellations. Guests intending on participating in diving activities must ensure their insurance covers them for SCUBA related activities and has appropriate 'depth' coverage.
• Please check you have the required travel documents before booking your dive trip. Ensure that your passport has at least 6 months validity from your time of entry into Malaysia.
