OVERVIEW OF TOUR

This is a hassel free way to experience the best of Mabul island and the islands in Celebes sea. With all ground and boat transfers, fullboard meals and snorkel / dive equipment included.

Borneo Divers Mabul Resort (BDMR) is the perfect destination for a relaxing island getaway for couples and families.

It boasts 62 rooms - 30 Chalet Rooms and 32 Luxury Villa Rooms with modern design and is well equipped with facilities with a dining hall suited for all day dining, three bars (Beach Bar, Jetty Bar and Turtle Bar) a swimming pool and ocean spa. If you're looking to host a big group, the event hall with indoor entertainment such as karaoke, mahjong, foosball table and more can be setup into a conference room.

And true to its name, Borneo Divers Mabul Resort caters well to seasoned and amateur divers. At its private jetty, there's a popular diving spot, Paradise 2 (also known as jetty reef and house reef) where there are ongoing efforts to conserve marine biodiversity through Coral Planting and Seahorse Conservation Program.

Becoming a scuba diver is the first step in a journey that will forever change the way you experience the ocean. You will explore the wonders of a weightless underwater world, interact with incredible marine life and discover ecosystems hidden beneath the surface of the Celebes sea. The professional and friendly dive team of BDMR strive to offer safe, personal and enjoyable diving experience.

ABOUT THE RESORT

BDMR consist of 32 Villa Rooms and 30 Chalet Rooms

The Villa Rooms are newly built with twin-share/double beds with attached modern style bathroom, and balcony with overlooking your choice of garden view, pool view and sea view. The rooms are spacious at 390sqft, furnished with comfortable, elegant and sophisticated modern design. Well-equipped with wide LCD TV, mini-bar and comfortable beddings. 

The Chalet Rooms are built with twin-share/double beds and private verandah with either Sea or Garden View. Rooms are spacious at 280sqft and furnished with air-conditioned, ceiling fans, ensuite bathroom with hot/cold shower, dressing table, coffee/tea making facilities and hair dryer which you cn request upon check in.

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT

The standard check in-time is 14:00hrs and check out time is 10:00hrs.  

If you wish to extend your stay after your checked in time, you are required to pay full amount directly to the resort.

HOW TO GET THERE

Take a short 45 minutes domestic flight from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau. You can also fly into Tawau Airport via Kuala Lumpur International Aiport or Senai Airport, Johor. 

Upon arrival, you will be picked up from Tawau Airport and embark on an estimated 90 minutes drive to Semporna's Seafest jetty. 

If you choose to stay in a hotel in Tawau city, pick up from your hotel instead of the airport is available. 

From the jetty, the boat ride to Mabul island takes another 45 minutes to 1 hour of to reach Borneo Divers Mabul Resort's private jetty.  

Notes:

  • Guests are advised to follow the recommended flights in order to be connected to the scheduled land and boat transfers provided by us in and out of the island for their comfort of minimizing the waiting time at the airport. 
  • If guests are unable to take the scheduled transfers provided by us, additional charges of MYR150.00 per way for land transfer and MYR600.00 per way for boat transfer will be charged.

  • Please be at the Semporna Jetty before the boat's time of departure.
  • It is advisable to inform the resort of your flight arrival time in advance as their boats are not stationed at the jetty at all times.
  • If you have missed the boat, you will need to wait for the next scheduled boat.
  • All land & boat transfers are on a join in basis. 
  • Unscheduled boat transfers to and from the resort can be arranged with additional surcharge(s), but subject to availability and weather conditions.
  • On some occasions, the boat departure time could be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Whenever necessary, the resort management reserves the right to change the boat schedule at any time. Therefore, please always double check with the resort management for your boat & flight information.
