Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu / Nabalu Town / Desa Cattle Dairy Farm / Alpaca Club / Kinabalu National Park Entrance / Kota Kinabalu City Tour

Pick up from the hotel lobby and meet your tour guide of the day.

We will depart from Kota Kinabalu for a 1.5-hour journey to Nabalu Town for the Nabalu Handicraft & Souvenir Market. You will also be able to enjoy an unobstructed panoramic view of Mount Kinabalu from a nearby platform or buy local snacks and fruits at the food stalls.

Around 40-45 minutes drive from Nabalu Town, you will arrive at Desa Cattle Dairy Farm, popularly known as the “Little New Zealand” of Sabah. Get a closer view of Mount Kinabalu, feed the calves and goats, or take photos of the beautiful scenery while enjoying their fresh milk or gelato.

After a 30-minute drive, arrive at Alpaca Club in Kundasang, home to the first and only alpacas in Sabah. Here, you can admire and hand-feed grass to these adorable furry creatures. 

After that, you will be taken to a local resort restaurant for lunch.

Before heading back to Kota Kinabalu, we will make a short pit stop at Kinabalu National Park, Malaysia’s very first UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark. Upon your arrival here, you can enjoy the cold, fresh air while taking photos with the UNESCO signboard before departing to the next destination.

We will then return to Kota Kinabalu for a fun tour around the city, including a stop at The Art Attic, an all-inclusive and curated lifestyle marketplace and cafe featuring carefully selected craft goods, furniture, clothing, homeware, gifts and fine art from local Sabahans. Next, immerse yourself in culture at the Sabah Museum, where you will dive deep into the history that shaped Sabah into what it is today. A heritage village on the museum grounds lets you explore the different types of traditional houses made by Sabah's various indigenous groups. Lastly, some architectural splendour at the Sabah City Mosque, also known as Sabah Floating Mosque. Get those shutters snapping, as it is the largest dome of its type in Malaysia!

By the end of the tour, you will be taken back to your respective hotels.

  • Kindly note that optional activities such as the purchases from Nabalu town, Kundasang markets, dairy products and feed for calves in Desa dairy farm are on your own expense.
