Day 1 - Annah Rais Longhouse / Annah Rais Hot Springs

Begin your day with a pick-up from your hotel lobby in Kuching city.

Embark on a 1-hour scenic drive to the Annah Rais Longhouse, absorbing the beauty of Sarawak along the way.

Arrive at the Annah Rais Longhouse, a cultural gem with over 80 families.

Together with your knowledgeable local guide, explore this Bidayuh Village and learn about the culture of the Land Dayaks, who were once head-hunters.

Discover the longhouse's unique architectural and cultural features and learn about the traditional farming lifestyle of the Bidayuh community, such as the unique uses of bamboo. 

Proceed to a delightful Sarawak’s Ethnic Lunch, a generous feast hosted by friendly locals. Enjoy freshly cooked bamboo chicken and wild jungle vegetables on the tanju (patio) of the longhouse.

After that, extend the experience in nature by indulging in a natural hot spa at the nearby Annah Rais hot springs. The local community also constructs manmade pools for the enjoyment of visitors. Please bring your own towel and a change of clothes, as the hot spring facility does not offer these amenities.

Relax by the stream, invigorating tired leg muscles with refreshing spring water.

Observe the quiet natural surroundings with the soothing sounds of crickets and gurgling water. Marvel at vibrant butterflies with black velvety wings and bright-green features.

Capture the beauty of the surroundings with photo-worthy moments by the nearby waterfalls.

After rinsing and changing, enjoy a comfortable transfer back to your hotel.
