Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Tamparuli Town / Kiulu Town / Hawun Valley / Kiulu River

  • Embark on an unforgettable day trip as we pick you up at the hotel lobby and whisk you away to Tamparuli Town. Here, you'll be treated to breathtaking countryside views and scenic landscapes, all steeped in the rustic charm and laid-back ambience of this little town. 
  • Stroll on the historical Tamparuli suspension bridge and learn more about the local Dusun culture with music and dance performances at the start of the bridge.
  • Before leaving, explore the Tamparuli market and the town. Make sure to try the iconic local delicacy, Tuaran Noodle.
  • Journey onwards to Kiulu Town, where you'll revel in the picturesque riverside setting, complete with a magnificent suspension bridge.  
  • Experience the exhilaration of River Fun Play, where you can immerse yourself in the refreshing river waters and embrace the natural beauty around you (subject to weather and river conditions). As a safety precaution, we kindly ask parents not to let their children play alone at the river. Please bring your own towel and an extra change of clothes, just in case you end up getting drenched in the fun!
  • Experience the thrill of a 4WD ride en route to Hawun Valley and soak in the awe-inspiring birds-eye view of Kiulu, set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Kinabalu (subject to weather conditions).  
  • Indulge yourself in a delectable local lunch before setting off to the Kiulu White Water Rafting meeting spot.
  • An experienced river guide will brief you on safety measures as you gear yourself up with helmets, paddles, and life jackets, ensuring you're fully equipped for the exciting rapids.  
  • Brace yourself for an adrenaline-fueled ride along the Kiulu River, navigating through bumpy riverbeds and being drenched in the sheer excitement and exhilaration of the experience. The rafting activity takes up to 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on the rapids and river conditions. 
  • Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the tropical rainforest as you raft through The Wall Rapid and Holy Smoke Rapid. For those seeking a more vigorous experience, you can even try Body Rafting! 
  • Throw some dry clothing on and indulge in a sumptuous Hi-Tea by the tranquil Kiulu River. 
  • We will transport you back to your respective hotel, allowing you to unwind and relax after an action-packed day filled with memories.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • Baby Car Seats (for infant aged 0-2) and Child Booster Seats (for children aged 3-11) are available for rental. Please check with your tour consultant for availability. 
  • Please expect low water levels during drought season.  
  • Participants must be physically fit. 
  • Participants must be in the age of 5 years old to 65 years old. 
  • Child below 12 years old must be accompanied by parent or guardian. 
  • All participants are required to sign a liability release form. 
  • We strongly recommend you to take the morning departure for this tour due to weather conditions such as light rain in the late afternoon.

  • This package is based on a join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle. Private guide or tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee. Please inform us when making the bookings.
