Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Sandakan / Tanini Kinabatangan / River Cruise

10:30 Hrs – 12:00 Hrs: Pick-up from accommodation in Sandakan or Sepilok. Short stops for refreshments or washrooms along the way. 

15:00 Hrs: Arrive at Kampung Bilit Jetty. Cross the river by boat to Tanini Kinabatangan Lodge, greeted with welcome drinks. 

16:00 Hrs: Begin the Kinabatangan River Cruise. Search for proboscis monkeys, silver leaf monkeys, hornbills, and seasonal appearances of pygmy elephants and orangutans.  

18:00 Hrs: Return to the lodge for a jungle-set dinner, surrounded by the sounds of the forest. 

20:00 Hrs – 22:00 Hrs: Depart for Sandakan. Arrival at your hotel around 22:00 Hrs.
