Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu / Gaya Island Water Village School / Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park / Fun Fishing

0930hrs / 1530hrs: Enjoy a convenient pick-up from your hotel lobby or the airport and proceed to Jesselton Point Jetty for a boat transfer to Gaya Island. 

(Optional Activity) 1000hrs / 16000hrs: Pay a visit to the island's Water Village School, a picturesque property set along the coast of Gaya Island with a student body of approximately 1,500. The island is mostly inhabited by a local Bajau community, who have called Gaya Island home for nearly a century. 

1030hrs / 1630hrs: Enjoy fishing around Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, with refreshments including fruits, soft drinks, and mineral water. 

1230hrs / 1830hrs: Return to the mainland and transfer to your Kota Kinabalu hotel – your tour ends here.

  • Fun Fishing Booking Policy: 
    • Maximum 10 passengers in each boat. Groups larger than 10 will be split up into separate boats.  
    • All cancellations must be submitted in writing, either via email or text message. Cancellations made solely by phone will not be accepted. This ensures clear communication and prevents any misunderstandings, such as double bookings or incorrect date/time changes. 
    • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled charter or failure to show up on the day will result in a charge of 100% of the charter fee. 
    • In the event of heavy rain or high winds, postponement options are available. 
    • We kindly ask that you provide sufficient notice to allow us to re-book the date, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. 
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTx). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level. The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption. 
  • Respect the natural environment and wildlife.  Avoid littering and follow the “leave no trace” principle by not disturbing the surrounding flora and fauna. 
  • If you have specific dietary requirements or allergies, kindly inform the tour operator in advance so that suitable arrangements can be made. 
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle.  Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee.  Please inform us when making the bookings.
