Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Cycling - Kiulu Countryside Ride (Intermediate)

  • Your tour will commence as we meet and greet you from the hotel lobby and depart for a 1hr +/- drive to Tamparuli Countryside.
  • Safety briefing, dos & don’ts and assigning you a bicycle. Leisure and fun cycling through village terrains.
  • Have fun, balance yourself by crossing on the Suspension Bridges along the journey!
  • Besides, you can also experience riding on gravel terrain. Stop at the Pagoda Temple & local market to try out some local fruits & cakes. 
  • Your ride continues to Lotud Dusun House in Tuaran, let the friendly native host welcome you to the house, where they will walk you through the lifestyle of their people. The ride ends at Riverside where lunch is served on a traditional authentic wooden Catamaran with a short mangrove cruise; enjoy the cool breeze & bring home sweet memories! 
  • Optional dip into the river after lunch and transfer to your respective hotels after the tour.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • Baby Car Seats (for infant aged 0-2) and Child Booster Seats (for children aged 3-11) are available for rental. Please check with your tour consultant for availability.
  • Participants must have good biking skills, above 150cm height, physically fit and be prepared for physical exertion during the bike ride.
  • This tour is not recommended for children under 12 years old as it is much physical demanding with uphill and downhill rides, unless participants have good biking skills.
  • Participants must provide height and weight upon reservation because all bicycles will be adjusted to fit the cyclist comfortably before the start of tour.
  • Maximum group size is 40 persons at one time for safety reasons.
  • The mountain biking is off the tourist trail so don't expect many facilities on the way.
  • This cycling part of this tour is almost totally away from other tour destinations and it is likely that you will not see any other tourists
  • Whilst cycling, if at any time you feel unwell, or need a rest please inform your biking guide immediately.
  • The bike guides are all trained in first aid and carry comprehensive first aid kits.

  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle.  Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee.  Please inform us when making the bookings.
