Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive at Tawau Airport / Transfer to Semporna & Celebes Explorer 9 (Pick Up: Tawau Airport)

  • Pick-up at Tawau airport and car transfer to Semporna. Free at own leisure until boat departure time. 
  • Depart from Semporna to Celebes Explorer 9 from 1530hrs onwards. 
  • Check-in to Celebes Explorer 9 and attend briefing. 
  • Free and easy. 
  • Note: No diving on the first day 
Meals : Dinner Accommodation : Celebes Explorer 9

Day 2 - Sipadan Island / Mabul Island

  • Daily dive at Sipadan Island. Once done, you will have the option for another diving session at Mabul Island. 
Meals : Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner Accommodation : Celebes Explorer 9

Day 3 - Sipadan Island / Mabul Island

  • Daily dive at Sipadan Island. Once done, you will have the option for another diving session at Mabul Island. 
Meals : Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner Accommodation : Celebes Explorer 9

Day 4 - Sipadan Island / Mabul Island

  • Daily dive at Sipadan Island. Once done, you will have the option for another diving session at Mabul Island.

Day 5 - Return to Semporna / Transfer to Tawau Airport (Drop Off: Tawau Airport)

  • Check-out at 0600hrs (if Celebes Explorer 9 is in Mabul) or 0830hrs (if Celebes Explorer 9 is in Semporna) and boat transfer to Semporna. 
  • Free and easy at own leisure before car transfer to Tawau Airport.

ROOM

Twin Share Cabin: There are a total of 8 twin share cabins, each equipped with air-conditioning and ensuite bathrooms. The rooms come with either double beds or twin beds that are extremely comfortable.

  • Boat transfer from Semporna to Celebes Explorer 9 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • The embarkation and disembarkation days are as follows:
    • 4D3N package - In: Tuesday / Out: Friday
    • 5D4N package - In: Friday / Out: Tuesday
    • 8D7N package - In: Tuesday / Out: Tuesday
  • Notes about the Diver Package:
    • Diving in Sipadan is conducted every day except for embarkation and disembarkation days.
    • Only divers with Advanced Open Water certification and above are allowed to dive in Sipadan.
    • Divers can do up to 2 dives in Sipadan per day.
    • Divers can do 3 to 4 dives daily, including 2 dives in Sipadan and other dives in Mabul (subject to weather and sea conditions).
    • Celebes Explorer 9 no longer provide nitrox fill on board and does not have 15-litre tanks available.
  • Celebes Explorer 9 does not have a credit card payment facility. Please bring sufficient cash (Ringgit Malaysia, USD or Euro) to pay for soft drinks, beer or wine on board.
  • Please bring along your diving license card for verification purposes by the local authority in Sipadan Island during registration before diving. Guests who did not bring a license will not be allowed to dive on Sipadan Island. If you only have an E-card, you will need to print it out as the local authority does not accept verification by showing the E-card from a smartphone.
  • Please bring along your IC (for Malaysians) or a copy of your passport (for international travellers) for verification purposes when you register in Sipadan Island.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • All confirmed bookings must be accompanied by the name, nationality, gender, passport number, contact address and flight details of guests. 
  • Unused portions of tour packages are not refundable once tour commences.
  • Amazing Borneo Tours will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the tour members as a result of the foregoing causes and over which it has no control, such as war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of God or Government, broken machinery or equipment required as part of the tour member’s itinerary, or unavoidable events that caused the tour member’s itinerary unenforceable. 
  • Amazing Borneo Tours reserves the right to alter the itineraries and/or substitute services with or without prior notice as a result of circumstances beyond the company’s control or if found to be in the best interests of all concerned parties.
