09:00 Hrs: Begin your day with a convenient pick-up from Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort and enjoy a scenic drive to Tamparuli Town, a charming destination rich in culture and local heritage. Pick-up and transfer can also be arranged for guests staying in the Kota Kinabalu region.

09:30 Hrs: Take a leisurely walk across the iconic Jambatan Tamparuli (Tamparuli Bridge), a beloved local suspension bridge that has inspired songs, legends, and plays. Admire the view and learn about its significance in Sabahan culture.

09:50 Hrs: After soaking in the sights and sounds of Tamparuli town and its bustling weekly local tamu (market), continue your journey to the next highlight.

10:00 Hrs: Arrive at the famous Rumah Terbalik (Upside Down House) in Tamparuli for a guided visit. Explore this quirky and Instagram-worthy attraction while learning about its symbolism and cultural commentary on traditional Sabahan homes.

11:00 Hrs: Proceed to Mango Garden Restaurant, located on the same grounds, for your immersive traditional Sabahan cooking class. Under expert guidance, guests will prepare three signature dishes:

  • Hinava Sada – A traditional raw fish salad with lime, ginger, and chili
  • Manuk Tinapah – BBQ chicken cooked with local herbs and spices
  • Kok Daeng Masak Timbul – A savory braised fish head dish with rich local flavors

13:00 Hrs: Depart for the UINAH Factory, a proudly Sabahan beverage brand renowned for its innovative use of indigenous ingredients such as ginger, roselle, and wild honey.

13:30 Hrs: Upon arrival at UINAH Factory, don your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and join a guided factory tour. Discover their production processes, sustainability efforts, and signature creations. Take part in a hands-on activity such as ginger or roselle cleaning, followed by a tasting session where you can sample their flavorful beverages and purchase your favorites.

14:45 Hrs: Conclude your adventure with a relaxing return transfer back to Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort or your accommodation in Kota Kinabalu, bringing a delightful day of cultural and culinary immersion to a close.
