Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu/ Tunku Abdul Rahman Park (TARP)

OPTION 1: Guided Tour with Transport & Lunch

Rise and Shine, for an early start to a day of fun in the sun!  You will be greeted at the lobby by our friendly guides and then whisked to the jetty where the adventure really begins.

Upon arrival at the jetty, hop on for a short 20 minute boat ride headed to the first island-stop!  Hold on to those sun-hats, its going to be a fun ride.  At Sapi island, soak up on some vitamin D, go for a dip in the crystal clear waters, dig those toes deep in the warm sand and indulge in the tranquil vibes of it all.

Jump back on a speedboat which will transfer you to Manukan island, where the fun & relaxation continues.  Tropical bliss must’ve worked up an appetite. Enjoy a delectable lunch at Manukan Island Resort. After lunch, you are free to explore the island or continue your sea sports activity.

Prepare to pack up and standby by the island jetty for a return boat ride to Kota Kinabalu jetty and onward transfer to your hotel.

OPTION 2: Return Scheduled Boat Transfers with Snorkeling Equipment 

Make your own way to Sutera Marina Jetty and hop on the scheduled boat transfer to Sapi island! Enjoy your time of relaxation and optional water sports activities on the beach.

In the late morning, return to the island's jetty for the scheduled transfer to Manukan Island.  Explore this bigger island at your leisure. When you are ready, take the scheduled boat transfer back to mainland.

  • Please do not bring valuables as there are no lockers on the islands.
  • The boat journey to the Island may not be suitable for individuals who have any of the following conditions but not limited to: heart or lung conditions, recent surgery, back or spinal surgery, back problems/injury/fracture, arthritis, osteoporosis or other similar spinal/pelvic diseases. Pregnant women are also not recommended as the boat ride may be bumpy depending on the sea condition. If you are having similar issues as above, kindly consult your physician before you enrol in this activity. 
  • We will not know when is the jelly fish season as it varies. Usually it occurs during mid of the year or/and end of the year. Just be extra careful and inform our guides should you be bitten. Our guides are first aid trained.
  • Jelly bugs are common in the waters but they are usually harmless and it will just cause some slight itch.
  • The two islands that you will be hopping to are Manukan Island and Sapi Island. Occasionally, we may change one of the islands to Mamutik. It depends on the crowd, water, jetty and or logistics situations, and this will be decided by our experienced operation team. Kindly note that we have stopped going to Sulug Island due to safety reasons such as water currents and damaged jetty.
  • This package is based on join-in basis of shared guide and transport vehicle.  Private Guide or Tour is available upon request at a reasonable fee.  Please inform us when making the bookings.
  • Your safety is our top priority. Should the weather or sea conditions render it unsafe to proceed for this tour, Amazing Borneo Tours reserves the right to change or cancel tour. Tour will be refunded accordingly.
  • Departure time is approximate and varies from different hotels due to traffic conditions, please reconfirm with our staffs. Should the transport be delayed, please call the relevant telephone number as stated on the voucher before making alternative arrangements.

  • Tipping is like giving a hug. Although it’s never expected, it’s always very much appreciated.
  • Everyone needs a little bit of vitamin "sea"! Islands are one of Sabah's most sought after attractions, and they do tend to get a little bit crowded during the Weekends, Public Holidays, and Peak Seasons from July - August.
  • Your belongings may get wet. You can bring along waterproof bags such as dry bags or plastic bags to keep your belongings nice and dry!
  • Before going out for some fun in the sun, you may bring along some SPF50 sunscreen and an umbrella to protect your skin.
  • For any Island tour, if you're interested in water sports (ie banana boat, seawalking, parasailing, etc), be sure to bring along a little bit of extra cash as these activities are not included in our tour package.
