4D3N Kuching Nature, Culture & Wildlife Tour: Orangutans, Caves, Longhouse & Borneo Keranji Farmstay

Upon arrival at Kuching International Airport, transfer to your hotel in Kuching city and check in. Spend some time settling in before beginning your first evening in Sarawak. 

In the late afternoon, head to the waterfront for a scenic Sarawak River sunset cruise. As the boat glides past landmarks such as the Astana and Fort Margherita, take in views of Kuching’s riverside skyline illuminated by the warm glow of sunset. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, cool evening breeze, and changing cityscape as day turns into night. 

Dinner will be arranged before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Bau to visit Fairy Cave and Wind Cave, two of Sarawak’s best-known limestone cave systems. Fairy Cave impresses with its spacious interior and dramatic rock formations, while Wind Cave offers a contrasting experience with cooler air and narrow cave passages. The stairs going into the caves can be steep and slippery, so caution and footwear with good grip are highly recommended.

Continue to Borneo Keranji Farm and check in at approximately 14:00 hrs, followed by a short introduction to the farm and its surroundings. Surrounded by greenery and countryside landscapes, the farm offers a slower and more peaceful side of Sarawak. 

In the late afternoon, take part in a “farm-to-table” experience and explore the grounds, where you can observe local plants and interact with farm animals. As evening falls, enjoy dinner at the farm before spending the rest of the night at leisure. You may choose to relax by the pool, enjoy the quiet surroundings, or simply unwind beneath the evening sky.

Start your morning with the calm atmosphere of the countryside, followed by time to explore the mini zoo and interact with farm animals before breakfast. 

After checking out, proceed to Annah Rais Longhouse, a traditional Bidayuh village nestled at the foothills of the mountains that was once home to headhunters. Walk through the longhouse and gain insight into the community’s culture, architecture, and way of life, while experiencing one of Sarawak’s living heritage settlements.

Enjoy a traditional Bidayuh meal with the longhouse residents, featuring bamboo cooked chicken and wild jungle vegetables before continuing to Semenggoh Wildlife Centre for a chance to observe orangutans in a semi-wild environment. During feeding sessions, you may see these remarkable primates emerge from the surrounding rainforest canopy, offering a memorable wildlife encounter in their natural habitat. 

After the visit, return to Kuching and check in to your hotel.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Kuching International Airport for your departure.
