Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Miri / Long Akah Arrival / Long San Village / Waterfall Adventure

Head to Miri Airport for your short domestic flight to Long Akah Airport, located near Long San Village in the Ulu Baram region of northern Sarawak. Upon arrival, transfer (5 minutes’ drive) to Jevinda Village Stay, your eco-lodge base surrounded by rainforest and rivers. 
Check in and enjoy a welcoming lunch prepared by your hosts. 

After lunch, take a short 20-minute drive to the trailhead and begin your trek to U’ong Bilong Waterfall (approx. 45–90 minutes). Continue onward to The Three Sisters Waterfall, a trio of scenic cascades set amidst lush rainforest and mossy rocks. 

Enjoy the natural surroundings and return to the lodge by late afternoon. 
Dinner and overnight at Jevinda Village Stay.

Day 2 - Tekiwit Sela’an Waterfall Exploration

After breakfast, depart for Kampung Data Bila (approx. 2 hours by road), passing through local villages and forested landscapes. 
From the trailhead, begin a 1-hour jungle hike to reach Tekiwit Sela’an Waterfall, one of Ulu Baram’s most breathtaking natural sites. 

Enjoy a packed lunch at the waterfall, where you can relax, take photos, or enjoy a refreshing dip. 
On the return journey, stop for a scenic view of Batu Siman, a distinctive rock formation rising above the forest canopy. 

Arrive back at Jevinda Village Stay by evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Departure

Enjoy your final breakfast at the lodge before checking out. 
Transfer to Long Akah Airport for your onward flight.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

  • To ensure a more comfortable trek, pack mosquito and leech repellent. 
  • Please help maintain cleanliness along the hiking trails and waterfall areas. 
  • If you plan to swim at the waterfalls, pack a change of clothes for comfort. 
  • Bring a trekking pole for better grip and stability, especially on steeper terrain. 

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Flights to Long Akah operate on Mondays (direct) and on Wednesdays and Fridays with a short transit stop in Marudi before continuing to Long Akah. 
  • Flight tickets are not included in the package. Please liaise with our Sales Team if you need assistance with booking your domestic flights. 
  • Travel insurance is highly recommended. 
  • This is a community-based eco tour; guests are encouraged to respect local culture and the natural environment. 
  • Activities are subject to weather conditions. Amazing Borneo Tours reserves the right to amend routes, timetables, itineraries, or accommodation should conditions beyond our control require it. 
  • Effective from 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia implemented a Tourism Tax (TTx). Foreign tourists are required to pay MYR 10 per room per night, payable upon check-in. Malaysians and permanent residents are exempted upon presentation of valid identification. 
  • Tipping is never expected but always appreciated.
