3D2N Kinabatangan River Cruise Safari with Bilit Adventure Lodge Stay

10:30 hrs: Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Sandakan or Sepilok before travelling towards Bilit. Stop at Sepilok for lunch before continuing through Sabah's countryside, passing local villages and lush landscapes on your journey to the Kinabatangan River. 

14:15 hrs: Arrive at Bilit Adventure Lodge and check in to your comfortable air-conditioned room. Take some time to relax, settle into the peaceful rainforest surroundings, or explore the lodge grounds before your first wildlife experience. 

16:00 hrs: Embark on your first guided Kinabatangan River wildlife cruise, when the cooler afternoon temperatures encourage wildlife to become more active. Cruise quietly along the river as your guide searches for proboscis monkeys, hornbills, kingfishers, saltwater crocodiles, and, with a little luck, Bornean orangutans or the elusive Bornean pygmy elephant along the riverbanks. 

18:00 hrs: Return to the lodge and enjoy some time to unwind as the sun sets over the rainforest.

19:00 hrs: Dinner is served at the lodge, where you can savour local flavours while listening to the evening sounds of the jungle. Guests may also choose to join an optional guided night walk (at additional expense) to discover Kinabatangan's fascinating nocturnal wildlife.

06:00 hrs: Wake to the sounds of the rainforest and enjoy a light coffee or tea before another exciting day of wildlife exploration. 

06:30 hrs: Set off on your second Kinabatangan River wildlife cruise, when the rainforest is at its liveliest. The calm morning conditions provide excellent opportunities to observe birds and wildlife beginning their day, including hornbills, kingfishers, proboscis monkeys, crocodiles and, if you're fortunate, orangutans along the riverbanks.

07:30 hrs: Return to the lodge for breakfast.

09:00 hrs: Venture into the rainforest on a guided jungle trek through the riverine forest. Learn about the fascinating plants, insects and wildlife that thrive within this unique ecosystem while your guide shares insights into the importance of rainforest conservation and the delicate balance of the Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary.

10:30 hrs: Return to the lodge to freshen up before lunch.

15:30 hrs: Enjoy afternoon tea with local snacks while taking in the peaceful riverside surroundings.

16:00 hrs: Head out on your third Kinabatangan River wildlife cruise, offering another opportunity to discover the incredible biodiversity of Sabah's longest river. Every cruise reveals something different, and with more time spent exploring the river, you have even more opportunities to spot wildlife, from proboscis monkeys and hornbills to Bornean pygmy elephants, orangutans and other rainforest inhabitants.

18:00 hrs: Return to the lodge.

19:00 hrs: Enjoy dinner and spend another relaxing evening surrounded by the sights and sounds of the rainforest.

07:30 hrs: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of Bilit Adventure Lodge.

08:30 hrs: Bid farewell to the Kinabatangan River and begin your journey back to Sandakan, reflecting on three memorable days immersed in one of Borneo's richest wildlife habitats.

11:00 hrs: Arrive in Sandakan, where you'll be transferred to your hotel or Sandakan Airport for your onward journey.
