Day 1 - Sandakan / Overland Telupid / Deramakot Forest Reserve

Begin your adventure with a transfer from Sandakan Airport or surrounding hotels at 09:30 Hrs - 10:30 Hrs.

Enjoy a scenic 2½ hour journey to Telupid town with a lunch stop along the way.

Brace for a thrilling two-hour drive on a rugged gravel road that leads deep into the heart of Deramakot Forest Reserve.

Discover the reserve's vast 55,507-hectare mixed dipterocarp forest, home to 75% of Sabah’s mammal species.

Encounter iconic wildlife such as Bornean orangutans, northern grey Bornean gibbons, and banteng if luck is on your side.

Check-in at the park’s chalet and unwind until dinner.

Embark on a 2-hour 4x4 night safari to explore the forest's nocturnal wonders with a specialist guide.
