Sample itinerary

Day 1 - Miri / Immigration Border / Billionth Barrel Monument / Kampong Ayer Water Village / Gadong Night Market

We will pick you up from the Miri hotel at 12:00 hrs and embark on a 3-hour land journey towards Brunei city.  

After going through the immigration border, your journey in Brunei begins at the Billionth Barrel Monument in Kuala Belait. Constructed in 1991, this monument stands as a landmark in Brunei's oil production history, symbolizing the momentous achievement of producing the billionth barrel of oil in the Seria onshore oil field.

Enjoy a leisure boat ride to explore the nostalgic Water Village. Make several stops under the natural mangrove trees and swamp to spot birds and exotic wildlife, including the rare Proboscis monkeys unique to Borneo Island. 

Visit a local house for light refreshments and the opportunity to wander around and capture memorable pictures. 

Proceed to Gadong night market, the largest night market in Brunei. Settle in to the local scene and indulge in local exotic foods at affordable prices for a satisfied dinner. 

Transfer back to the hotel and take a good rest.

Day 2 - Temburong Rainforest Lodge / Ulu Temburong National Park Day Trip

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before departing at 07:00 hrs for your transfer to Temburong.  

Arrive at Temburong Rainforest Lodge, where you'll have morning tea, registration, and a safety briefing. 

Board a longboat (temuai) and journey upstream to the National Park. Explore the Canopy Walkway, rainforest streams, and swim at a waterfall. 

Return by longboat to the Rainforest Lodge, where you can choose from Rafting, Kayaking, or Tubing (prebook required), and enjoy lunch at the lodge.  

Afterwards, you can relax or explore the adventure park before departing at 15:00 hrs for Bandar Seri Begawan and transferring to the hotel to rest.

Day 3 - Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque / Royal Regalia / Malay Technology Museum / Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque / Istana Nurul Iman / Immigration Border / Miri

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel and depart from the hotel for a half-day city tour. 

Visit the awe-inspiring Jame' Asr Hassanil Mosque, commissioned by Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, with 29 golden domes to honour the 29th Sultan of Brunei. Explore the air-conditioned interiors and the exquisite materials used in its construction. 

Visit the Royal Regalia, where the treasures of the Sultan and the Royalty come to life. Immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Silver and Golden Jubilee commemorations, paying tribute to Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, the 29th ruler of Brunei. 

Your next destination is the Malay Technology Museum! See dioramas of how Kampong Ayer residents used to build boats, fish, and do metal and gold crafts. 

Afterwards, gaze in awe at the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. This dazzling landmark, named after Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III, blends modern and Islamic styles. Its golden dome sparkles under the sun, making it a true symbol of Brunei's faith.

Proceed to Istana Nurul Iman for photo shooting. Istana Nurul Iman was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest residential palace, which surpasses the size of the Palace of Versailles and Buckingham Palace. 

Check out and transfer to Miri Airport for departure.
