Upon arrival at Sandakan Airport, meet your guide and proceed to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre for the morning feeding session at 10:00 Hrs, where semi-wild orangutans emerge from the rainforest to feed. Before the feeding, watch a short video at the Nature Education Centre highlighting the centre’s rehabilitation and conservation efforts. Afterwards, walk along the wooden boardwalk through the forest for a closer look at these incredible primates.
Next, continue to the nearby Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Learn about the world’s smallest bear species and the centre’s ongoing conservation work, while observing rescued sun bears roaming freely within their forest enclosures from various viewing platforms.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, explore the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), known for its canopy walkways, botanical gardens, and birdwatching opportunities.
In the evening, enjoy a seafood dinner at a local restaurant before transferring to Sabah Hotel for your overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, a unique conservation area set within a mangrove forest. Observe the iconic proboscis monkeys during their feeding session and watch their distinctive behaviour up close in a natural environment.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before transferring to Sandakan Airport for your onward journey.
