Day 1 - KOTA KINABALU / TAMPARULI TOWN / NABALU TOWN / SABAH TEA GARDEN / SABAH TEA FACTORY & PLANTATION TOUR

Our adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel lobby, where you will be transported into a world of natural wonders and unique experiences through Sabah's breathtaking countryside.

Our first stop will be Tamparuli Town. Stroll along the iconic "Jambatan Tamparuli" suspension bridge while basking in the delightful ambience of this charming little town.

As we continue our expedition through the picturesque mountainous roads of the Crocker Range, we will make a brief stop at Nabalu town. Located on a hillside, the town is where locals showcase their vibrant array of produce, fruits, and homegrown vegetables. Make sure to visit Nabalu Handicraft Market for exquisite souvenirs.

Next, we will embark on a 1.5-hour drive to Sabah Tea Garden, and take a quick stop at Sabah Tea Restaurant for lunch. 

After lunch, we will head for a guided tour of the plantation and factory. Here, you will gain insights into the fascinating world of organic pesticide-free tea cultivation, including the harvesting and processing of the leaves to its packaging and brewing. 

Enveloped by the soothing melodies of chirping birds and the refreshing mountain breeze, you'll find yourself captivated by the allure of the surrounding rainforests.

You will spend the night at the serene Sabah Tea Garden Cottage, nestled amidst the sprawling tea estate 700 metres above sea level in the foothills of majestic Mount Kinabalu. As the sun begins its gentle descent, casting an enchanting glow, you will relish in the tranquillity of this secluded haven, with the awe-inspiring mountain serving as a breathtaking backdrop to your evening.

Day 2 - PORING HOT SPRING & CANOPY TREETOP WALK / KINABALU PARK / KOTA KINABALU

Good morning! Wake up to a misty morning, where the veiled sun illuminates the majestic Mount Kinabalu. The air is filled with the melodies of chirping birds, while the valleys below are cloaked in a gentle embrace of low-hanging clouds. 

Take a leisurely stroll through the sprawling tea estate or unwind on your private balcony, immersing yourself in the serene surroundings.

After checking out of your accommodation, we will embark on a scenic 30-minute drive to Poring Hot Spring, where a blissful experience awaits you in the Japanese-inspired open-air tubs. Indulge in a soothing sulphur bath as you are immersed in the all-natural mineral-rich waters, surrounded by meticulously landscaped gardens. For those seeking a refreshing dip, a nearby cold water pool is available.

Your exploration continues at the Canopy Treetop Walk. Suspended 30 metres above the lush jungle, the 105-metre walkway invites you to witness the grandeur of a rainforest that has thrived for millions of years. Marvel at the unique flora and fauna from the treetop, and keep an eye out for rare and exquisite bird species. A brief 20-minute hike is required to reach the Canopy Walkway.

Savour a delectable lunch at a local restaurant.

Next, we will venture to Malaysia's first-ever UNESCO World Heritage Site and part of the Kinabalu UNESCO Global Geopark, Kinabalu National Park. Situated 1,500 metres above sea level, this vast 754-square-kilometre park showcases the magnificent Mount Kinabalu, one of the tallest mountains in Southeast Asia. With its towering peak reaching 4,095.2 metres and majestic cloud-draped summits, the mountain is a wonderful sight from within Kinabalu National Park.

The park boasts an impressive array of biodiversity, with an estimated 4,500 plant species, including 1,500 orchid species, 77 of which are unique to Kinabalu. It is also home to 289 bird species and 290 butterfly species. Enjoy the refreshing and cool mountain air as you embark on a guided walk along the nature trails in the Botanical Garden. Discover the park's rich biological diversity, from carnivorous Pitcher Plants to rare orchid species, showcasing the unique climatic zones found on Mount Kinabalu.

After a day of relaxation and exploration, bid farewell to Kinabalu Park as you make your way back to your respective hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

  • About Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Spring:
  • Kinabalu Park is at high altitude approximately 1500 meter above sea level, it can get cold.
  • The Canopy Walkway is approximately 30 meter above the ground, not for the faint of heart.
  • Poring Hot Spring opening hours: 8.00am - 3.00pm (Daily).
  • Poring Hot Spring Outdoor Bathtubs are for complimentary use and are free of charge. Guests can rent Indoor bathtubs but at own expense.
  • There are only ten (10) standard and five (05) deluxe Indoor Bathubs at Poring Hot Spring. Rates are at MYR 15/- per hour per standard indoor bathtub and MYR 20/- per hour per deluxe indoor bathtub payable on the spot but are subject to availability.
  • The Slide Pool located in Poring Hot Springs is closed on every Mondays for maintenance. Guests are able to purchase the entrance fee (at own expense) to Slide Pool for MYR 3/- per person. Free for 6 years old and below.
  • Kindly take note that camera fees apply before entering Canopy Walk. Cameras will be charged MYR 5 each and Video Cameras / Camcoders will be charged MYR 30 each.
  • Butterfly Farm located in Poring Hot Springs is closed on every Mondays.
  • Depending on the season, you may get the rare chance to spot the Rafflesia flowers in bloom, which only lasts for 3 to 5 days. They are located at the private gardens beside Poring Hot Springs. Entrance fees are at MYR 30 per person though this will be at your own expenses.
  • You can choose to wait at the resting area if you do not wish to proceed for any of the nature walks.
  • Standard check-in and check-out times for most hotels & resorts are 1400Hrs & 1200Hrs. However, check-in & check-out times may vary depending on each accommodation. So kindly check with us to get accurate check-in & check-out times of your accommodation.
  • Effective as of 1st September 2017, the Tourism and Culture Ministry of Malaysia will be implementing a Malaysian Tourism Tax (TTX). Foreign tourists will be required to pay a flat rate of MYR 10 per room per night regardless of accommodation star level.The TTx is to be paid upon check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents residing in Malaysia are exempted from TTx and is required to present a valid identification upon check-in for the exemption.
