Begin your Mount Kinabalu adventure with pickup from the Sabah Tourism Board building before heading on a scenic 2-hour journey towards Kinabalu Park Headquarters.
Travel through charming countryside villages and enjoy panoramic views of the Crocker Range along the way.
A short stop will be made at Nabalu Market, a popular roadside market where local communities sell fresh produce, tropical fruits, handicrafts, and traditional souvenirs.
Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park HQ, check into your private twin shared room and enjoy the cool mountain atmosphere.
The rest of the day is free for you to relax, mingle with fellow climbers, or prepare for the climb ahead.
Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before overnight stay at Kinabalu Park HQ.
Enjoy breakfast at Liwagu Restaurant before collecting your packed lunch for the climb.
Afterwards, proceed to Kinabalu Park Headquarters for registration. Your mountain guide will assist with the necessary climbing arrangements, including permit registration and issuance of your climber ID tag.
Once ready, transfer to Timpohon Gate, the starting point of your Mount Kinabalu ascent.
Trek through one of Borneo’s most biodiverse mountain environments, passing through changing vegetation zones ranging from lowland oak and chestnut forests to mossy forests and alpine landscapes. The climb to Panalaban Base Camp at 3,272 metres typically takes around 4 to 5 hours depending on fitness level and pace.
Upon arrival, check into your mountain accommodation and enjoy a hearty buffet dinner at Laban Rata Restaurant before resting for your summit climb.
02:00 hrs: Wake up in the early hours for a light supper before continuing your final ascent towards Low’s Peak, the highest point of Mount Kinabalu at 4,095.2 metres above sea level.
The summit climb is both physically rewarding and unforgettable, especially as you witness the breathtaking sunrise over the mountains if weather conditions permit.
After spending time at the summit for photos and celebration, descend back to Panalaban Base Camp for a late breakfast and check-out.
Continue your descent to Timpohon Gate where a transfer will bring you back to Kinabalu Park Headquarters.
Upon completion, climbers may collect their Certificate of Achievement as a memorable keepsake of the climb.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before departing for the return journey back to Kota Kinabalu City.
